The Path to Norman

Liam Evans is a local recruit, having played high school football in Moore, Oklahoma. The kicker didn’t start playing football until halfway through his eighth grade year. After that, he became a starting kicker for Moore by his sophomore year and began to receive a lot of attention. He was ranked 8th in the country in the 2024 class of Kohl’s kickers. Evans visited Baylor, Kansas State, Texas Tech, and others, but Coach Jay Nunez and the Sooners won his commitment as a PWO.

Highlights

This Season

Evans will likely redshirt in season one, as transfer Tyler Keltner and Zach Schmit will headline the kicker spot. However, both are seniors. Evans can use this season to grow his game and focus on taking over kicking duties as early as next season.
