The Path to Norman

Ashton Sanders was one of the last pick ups in the 2023 OU class. Hailing from Pasadena, the defensive lineman was a Cal commit for a short period. His OU offer came in the fall of 2022. Within a month, Sanders had committed to the Sooners.

Highlights

This Season

The interior defensive line will have some new faces and returning contributors this year, creating a pileup in front of Sanders. Damonic Williams, Da’Jon Terry, Gracen Halton, Davon Sears, not to mention several talented freshmen, will all be looking to see snaps. Sanders will have to battle for minutes this fall, but will look ahead to 2025 for a larger role.
