Mike Stoops
What he saw on film: “I thought our playing in some of the smaller personal groupings we were good. I don’t think our approach to the heavier sets is where its supposed to be. But we’ll learn a little bit more as we go along.”
Positives he saw on Saturday: “We competed on Saturday and our players played hard, and when you’re doing those things you can overcome the mistakes.”
Mismatches on the heavier sets: “When they have a 6’6″ 270 lb tight end and we got a 6’0″ 210 lb Sam linebacker, that’s not a great match up for us. So those are character issues we have with personal but we need to bulk up in certain situations and put our players in better situations.”
Eric Striker
Playing against bigger players Striker in normal Striker style never lacks confidence: “I’m not that heavy, we all know that, so I have to use my speed and my quickness and use it to my advantage.”
Striker on forcing the Tommy Rees turnover, “Some guys don’t account for you and maybe it was a bust on their play but they let me free and I had to you know… kill him.”
Aaron Colvin
While a lot of OU fans may be concerned about the players having a let down or being complacent after the big win Aaron Colvin dispelled that idea by saying, “I feel like we are feeding off our success but I also feel like we are not satisfied and that’s what great teams and great defenses do.”
If y’all have any questions you’d like me to ask when I meet with the players please post a comment or send us a message.

If they had only known back then that they could beat BAMA, what the season could have been.
