Steven Parker Note on Official Visit to OU

Good news OU fans, Steven Parker will be taking an official visit to Oklahoma this weekend. He will add to the list of talented recruits visiting OU on the 17th.
Steven has spent plenty of time at OU already. We’ve been confident for a while Steven will end up at Oklahoma. But Steven taking an official visit on such a big recruiting weekend is not only great for OU with the respect to Steven’s recruitment but it’s also great in that Steven’s presence could potentially help with other recruits coming in this weekend.

That’s big news. He’s maintained throughout the process he didn’t need to take an official to OU because he’s been around the program so much already. Hope this is a sign of some even bigger news to come.
It may not come this weekend but I will be shocked if he ends up anywhere other than OU. Obviously it’d be better if he wasn’t taking the Auburn visit but I still feel great about where OU stands.
Yeah, with the Auburn visit coming up it would be really strange for him to commit to OU before going there. But, he could commit this weekend and then just tell Auburn he isn’t coming. No harm, no foul.
Auburn and Malzahn are the “it” things right now, so I do have concerns.
Losing the NC takes some of the “it” away. They beat Bama in O.T., we beat them by 2 T’s. I think we’re ok.
No offense but Stevie doesn’t seem to be into the “it” flavor of the day. He was around Gus when Gus was the OC at Tulsa. Good family, Solid HS coaches etc.. he won’t make a snap decision based on the “it”
I’m with you K. We’ll see if he actually takes the Auburn visit.
I think he takes it because he want’s to be a kid of his word. Then he has to come “home”.

I don’t have any concrete info but our kids attend Jenks and I will be more shocked than K if he doesn’t wear the crimson.

Think he has a purpose in this visit this weekend? Makes you wonder. We could call it “Pulling a Mixon”.
OT, but SK, any truth to the rumors about Dowels NOT visiting the good guys this weekend? If true, any insight as to why?
Yeah we reported that a couple weeks back. He changed his date to the 31st.
That tweet that someone else put up on another story says Dowels “is no longer planning to take a visit to Oklahoma.” Hope that guy is mistaken and he does indeed visit on the 31st.

That 31st visit date is a concern due to being so late.

Jonathan Thomas won’t be visiting.
Looks like he’d make a very good slot receiver. Correct me if I’m wrong.
He could play receiver but he’s being recruited as a safety.
