Grover is great, this is surely the NEW low point for Texas football. But they surprise each week! Arya Stark is armed with a mini sword! She lost her accent somehow. Also, UT announced that Ash is out indefinitely. Gonna be Swoopes for awhile (if not all season), it appears.
Who is the backup now? Heard?
I know Heard is a true freshman, but I am more concerned with him at QB than I am Swoopes. Watching him this past season lead Denton Guyer to the state championship, the kid is gutty and tough, he just finds a way to win.
I like Heard also compared to Swoopes. He really struggled his senior year and wasn’t that impressive in the spring game.
It’s hard to hate Butch. He’s honest and tells it like it is. Tennessee will be legit, it was a great hire to begin with.
Tennessee fans really like him, but after Kiffin and Dooley, who wouldn’t.

Well that did it…today’s feeling old moment of the day was the Teens react to Nintendo. WOW, the hours spent playing that gem. Zelda, Tecmo Bowl, Ninja Turtles, Baseball…classic
I still think Tecmo Bowl (and Super Tecmo Bowl) is the best sports video game ever made. I could have played that game for days on end.
Tecmo Bowl was/is so great, that somebody has resurrected it and now they have online downloads, leagues, etc. Pretty amazing considering the graphics they have in today’s games.

Those videos always make me feel old…but also simultaneously proud that I seem to have, conservatively, 125 IQ points on the youth of today and depressed that these morons are going to be running the water department and ambulance service, etc when I’m in my dotage.
The Legend of Zelda, favorite game ever on that system. Honorable mentions include Tecmo Bowl and RBI Baseball.
I guess is it a good thing Trevor Knight is not a animated character on a WWE game or OU might be in trouble. Although there were at least two 15 yd personal fouls in the match for throat slashing.
Is it any surprise that Taco Tech fans would be in a brawl? I guess they are getting better since this one didn’t involve an opposing player.
I recall a few years back when Tech defeated A$M at Lubbock out-of-control students tore down a goalpost, carried it, and threw it into the A$M section with their fans still present.

2015 OU LB offer Amonte Caban has committed to Louisville
That’s kind of a shocker. I read that OU had wanted him to take his official visit to OU later in the year, he seemed a heavy lean to So. Carolina and did not seem to be interested in Louisville. I know young athletes are unpredictable.
I think this shows what I thought all along that we had a chance to pull him out of Alabama. I’m just glad there are still a lot of good prospects we have a chance to land
So can we spin this narrative that there are a couple of ILBs that OU has been recruiting longer that the coaches KNOW are going to commit so Caban got left out? That’s my story and I’m sticking with it till proven otherwise. ; )

This is going to be a really strange post, but man I really like Butch Jones. You can tell he really knows his players, seems to have a realistic idea of what they are capable of, and doesn’t give excuses but expects guys to step up and play. I think Tennessee made a good hire here.
Two things:
1) The Texas Tech UTEP brawl, was it my imagination or were there quite a few women at the heart of this thing, making things worse?
2) The Trevor/Worley Wraslin’ Match- what in the hillbilly hell was that crap?
It was hard to see all the shirts & hats clearly, but I saw a lot orange/blue and not much red/black. Can anybody pick out any Tech gear in the vid? As much as Tech fans cause trouble, they may not have even been at this particular tailgate “event”.
