    Boomer

  • Cam says:

I’d rather be ranked 19th than the top 10 at this point.

    • Indy_sooner says:

I was actually hoping OU’d fall out of rankings for once, then hang Fity on everybody this season *Wishes

  • Katyboomer says:

Man, that little boy has a great swing!!

  • Indy_sooner says:

Transfixed on that little batter. so much swag

  • paganpink says:

Sooners ranked number 1 more weeks then anyone in the country, and more weeks at number 1 then ranked outside the top 25, We may seem inconsistent but it is the nature of sports to ebb and flow from the top and the numbers prove we are actually more consistent- at WINNING- then any other team, period. BOOMER SOONER.

    • SoonerinLondon says:

Man, looks like Ohio State may pass us this year. I never thought any team would get past us. Maybe tosu will find a way to drop out of the top spot early?

      • Cam says:

They could lose to VT again.

        • Eric Hoffpauir says:

Yeah, if they stumble or look weak, they won’t stay number one.

        • Stephen Dale says:

I expect tOSU to butt-stomp VT early and often….I do not expect a repeat of last years opening performance by the Buckeyes…I do expect tOSU to run up the score on the Hokies as much as possible. say 70-14

          • SoonerOracle737 says:

tOSU has to play on the road, at night, against what is expected to be a very tough Hokie defense. tOSU are likely to have very tight sphincters and this indicates a very good chance of failure. The Hokies will be fired up and playing to win. Buckeyes will be playing not to lose. Will be one of the best early games on tv.

True. Never underestimate the effect of 60,000 drunken Virginia hillbillies. Or 100K drunken Tennessee hillbillies. Ohio St. and OU both have tough scenarios.

        • sebsooner says:

As an OU grad and a VT graduate student, I really really really hope that this happens.

  • Mike Reed says:

In order to help me make it until September 5th, I’m looking at it as the season has already started and we are just in a bye week. BOOMER!!

  • paganpink says:

The argument that Ronda Rousey should stop fighting because she wins too much is simply asinine. Is that what they told great fighters in the past? Of course not. Ever. I’m the last person to scream sexism but such stupidity stretches the limit for poor journalism even amongst sports writers who are known to be mainly fools to begin with.

    • Ed Cotter says:

Totally agree Pagan….Also, it’s not her fault that the other women aren’t as good. She needs to keep fighting to stay sharp for that fight with Cyborg when it does happen.

    • Jeff says:

So she is the face of MMA???

    • SavageSoonerEsq says:

I bet the last person to scream “sexism” lives somewhere in a remote part of Iceland, where it’s not even a word in their language, and it’s too cold to scream.

  • 47 Straight OU Know says:

Good morning all, Hopefully OU will play with the same swag as that little kid. “It’s always a great day to be a SOONER”.

  • Dick Bump says:

Offer that kid a baseball scholarship. If it was football he would already have one.

  • James says:

  • Matt says:

all of these injuries piling up for the Vols…I think it gets ugly in EH SEE SEE country that night. We smacked them by 24 last year when there were big problems in the secondary that just hadn’t been fully exposed yet and no offensive identity. After all of the coaching upgrades…Sorry bout ya Vols

    • Stephen Dale says:

I doubt the injuries will affect Tennessee’s performance …..the Vols have a team full of SEC talent…….

      • Jed says:

Of course. They don’t need players. they’re in the SEC. All they have to do is show up. That worked out so well for them last year.

      • Matt says:

exactly why I brought up the 24 point loss we handed them last year….

        • paganpink says:

Maybe it’s exactly WHY they lost by 24. If they have improved enough maybe they will lose by only 14 this time. But I doubt it. We look to be much better on both sides of the ball then the problem plagued team that destroyed them last year. I do give them credit for stepping up and playing against us while the rest of their SEC brethren set up games with the Little Sisters of the Poor for out of conference opponents. Playing OU takes guts!

That Madden movie is a thing of stupid beauty. LOL
