‘Big Game Bob Is Back’ (Athlon)

‘Vols won’t find comfort away from home’ (Daily Times)

Alabama defensive lineman arrested for DUI. (NFL)

That’s probably gonna leave a mark.

This obviously isn’t new, but somehow it’s the first time I’ve seen it. And it is glorious (especially after last week’s “incident”).

BASKETBALL

OU’s Buddy Hield is a sleeper All-American candidate according to this. (USA Today)

I love the “I’m going to get killed ” line. Dude was standing strong in the Lion’s den though!

And see I was thinking YOU would be so brazen once upon a time… Maybe not at Joes, but at a bar full of osu fans…

      • Sooner Ray says:

I just go to their houses, nothing funner than wearing the good colors in the middle of a bunch of orange munchers. Besides, I’m too old to be fighting in the bars now. LOL.

Lord knows you are surrounded by a bunch of orange munchers… That’s the only thing could about being down here… No osu

Although twice I have been the token OU fan in a group of whorns… And I let em have it all night long afterwards

I watched the 2010 OU vs. Mizzou game at Gusano’s Pizza in Joplin, Mo. although I wasn’t the only OU fan in the house, it was dominated by Mizzou fans. I had a few and my mouth just kept going and going and going….when OU lost, I was more than embarrassed, but I was still trash talking when I walked out!

“We’d have programs where Trevor Knight was serving us pancakes. We were decorating cookies with Eric Striker. Nobody cared.”

    I imagine some people cared!

I never get tired of watching the effort Lacoltan puts out trying to get that ball out, fights the entire play. Just a fraction of one play that changed everything. Man I love football!!

Back in ’04 (I believe) some friends and I took our families for a weekend at Disneyland. OU was playing Texas a and m. My wife gave “permission” for me to go to the ESPN bar and grill to watch the game, a friend who had no interest in the game went along just to watch me watch OU (I guess it’s a show within itself). For some strange reason, I liken it to the mysterious mass whale beaching a that occur, there was a gaggle of aggies there too. I always sport OU gear so I was immediately identified and when the aggies got the lead they started in on me. I have really thick skin and let them go on and on…….. And then OU started to come back. They were soooo angry, started to question every call, every replay. Then this one aggie fan… Decked out from head to toe in aggie logos, picks up a spoon, A SPOON, and says if OU gets LUCKY and takes this game I might have to fight my way out of there. My buddy looks at the spoon being waved in my face and then back at me. He starts to laugh. The guy says I’m serious and puts a spoon in his other hand. My buddy and I served in the Marines together. He laughs even harder and says something about our adversary being schooled in the ancient arts of lethal cutlery. OU eventually took the lead and as it was pretty clear OU was going to win my buddy starts going around the place collecting spoons. He drops about 30 on the table in a loud clang. The spoon master aggie gave him a puzzled look and my buddy says …” Building an arsenal, this will be a fair fight!” It was glorious watching their aggie clad bodies slump and trudge back out to the happiest place on earth….

That’s hilarious! I was at college station for that game, they are a sight to behold aren’t they?

I think I’m gonna use this for my son’s bedtime story tonight! Priceless!

That same friend now gives every shorthorn fan he sees the downward sign. Though 46 he still looks lethal so he can get away with it. He has also become a gentile fan of the Sooners.

Apparently West Virginia has a complicated situation developing with one of their top running backs… tough breaks for WV fans recently.

Also, video of the Bedlam game reminds me of the meltdowns on OrangePower after that game. I need to remember to not go there.
