Great weekend for Sooner sports. Hopefully the week goes just as well!

  • Sooner Ray says:

The girls look like they have the bats swinging good. Hope they can play some good defense in the super.

  • Jeremy Phillips says:

No mention of OU baseball finally playing well? I doubt we can do it 4 more times . but at least they gave us a glimmer of hope Saturday night…

    • Jordan Esco says:

I probably should have included something about Sunday, but it’s hard for me to get excited about saving face by simply avoiding the sweep. They’ve shown me nothing to believe they can extend their season in this upcoming Big 12 tourney.

Terrific news about the UH transfer Tashawn Thomas. We’ll only get him for one year but he’s truly one of the top power forwards in the nation. He’s one of the best shot blockers and rebounders in the game and he’s also a good scorer. He would be an instant starter this year and he will really help shore up OU’s defensive weakness in the paint. Danuel House is also transferring from UH. He’s also a top level talent and he was signed to UH as a 5 star power forward. It would be nice if he had interest in following Thomas to OU.

    • Zack says:

Would house have to sit out a year?

      • Dagr612 says:

Apparently so, which likely ends the idea of House and Thomas wanting to play together as that is over and done with. It also appears that House is leaning towards going to UCLA.

  • EasTex says:

Hard to believe it has been three years.

I hope skeptical Sooner fans read the piece from the Daily Oklahoman (about Stoops slow playing things). I know he’s said it in the past, and the record bares out how the process works, but so many casual recruiting followers get too worked up over things. Thanks for linking it Jordan!
