OU defensive tackle Quincy Russell announced Monday morning via his Facebook page that he was no longer with the program. Shortly after this news hit Twitter, he was also removed from OU’s official online roster. Pretty unceremonious exit for a guy who many were counting on not that long ago, but he could just never really crack the d-line rotation during his time in Norman.

So….About This Baker Mayfield Report (UPDATE)

Goes to show that recruiting isn’t an exact science. People thought OU football would just pack up and go away if we didn’t get this kid, and he never really contributed, and our Dline is a strength.
I never got the full story on him and Cortez. Did they just simply not show up to the game in Week 1? Where were they? I would have sworn I saw Cortez play late in that first game, but I guess I didn’t. Is Cortez still on the team?
Weird.
Re: Cortez
Seems like he isn’t gonna pan out… not sayin he won’t, but I thought if he was gonna make an impact, it would have happened by now… It would also be great if I am wrong…
BOOMER!
So Quincy Russell and Thaddeus LaGrone are gone. Wasn’t Quincy the only one on scholarship?
Of those two, yes.
Stoops officially confirmed this during his Monday presser, btw.
Does Baker get a scholly?
Well that was a waste of space on the roster.
