I’m so read for some football.
Quick story: I took the family for a brief camping trip this weekend at Kelley’s Island off Lake Erie. My son was the victim of getting a catfish stuck in the back of his his neck. Some buddies of his were tossing the dead fish. One of them threw it his way but he had no idea. My son is tough, but this one knocked him out of the action the second half of the day.
I…don’t understand.
A catfish “stuck” on the back of his neck?
Please explain.
Several of his buddies were tossing the fish around, chasing girls with the fish. My son, as I understand it, was playing with one of the younger kids. Well, they decided it would be funny to hit him with the fish. He wasn’t looking. I guess they threw the damn thing in the exact angle that would allow the fin to penetrate his neck. I wasn’t there to see it because my wife and I had gone back to start lunch. I’d just told him to grab his sister’s chair and glasses when he comes up. He’s a tough kid but he was crying like a baby.
Okay, now I understand, it was the fin that got him.
It’s tough being a kid.
There’s something fishy about this story……Hope your boy is doing ok.
I’ve been spiked in the hand by a catfish. Hurt like hell.
He slides better than a walrus. At least he has that going for him.
That’s how my goals in life feel sometimes. So close yet so far away.

That’s my man. I will be hosting at my house this weekend. I have a Southern tradition: honey buns and bologna on opening weekend. I will have this treat off and on all season, but if you come to my house on the opening weekend, you have to have one.
This is, without a doubt, the first time I have seen Honey Bun and Bologna in the sentence. π
