Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I’ll be traveling next week, so there will not be any daily posts during that time. However I’m quite confident K, Brandon, Alex & the guys are more than capable of picking up my slack.

    Took the time to read the Chip Brown article and wow. OU fans should take a step back and realize how fortunate we are to have and AD like Joe C.
    Texas Inc is heading down a dangerous path. It is sad how they fight and argue about how college athletics is just amature sports then someone like Patterson comes along and treats the biggest cash cow in the NCAA like a Fortune 500 company, complete with reducing employee benefits and layoffs. If Texas can’t afford to absorb the cost of attendance stipend, no one can.
    All that being said, I hope he runs them into the ground. Would serve them right for how they have screwed the Big XII in recent years.

    Awesome that our LBs are getting pub. Evans and Striker as the 4th best tandem is quite a distinction considering that our best ILB — Shannon — has been absent. Maybe Kish is doing something right. Got to believe we’re going to be better with Frank back and the new kids coming in.

    Do you guys(TFB) keep a running list of offers..? If so, do you have a place on the site where we can check it out..? Would be nice to see a centralized list like that for us to keep tabs on…

      Interesting addition. I’ve been suggesting a list of commits in the right margin. That would be nice to see. I mean we keep out of date OPs in the right margin. Why not a commit list. Doesn’t have to be fancy.

      Its not TFB but if you go to this link http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/recruit-search and select school = Oklahoma and check the box that says “Only prospects with offers,” then you will get a list of all our offers.

    It was reported that Mayfield threw an interception in a 7 on 7 practice. So what? What does
    that mean? Maybe nothing at all. Was he throwing to a walkon versus all Big 12 player?
    Did the WR run the wrong route? Did another WR run a wrong route and put
    his defender in position to make the interception? Was it a timing play where you
    expect the WR to run so many yds b/f making his cut but he went too far and
    Mayfield threw it where the WR should have been to make the catch but he wasn’t
    there? Was it a jump ball pass in the end zone where you expect the WR to make
    the play but he didn’t? Are Mayfield and the WR not on the same page yet? Did the
    WR read the coverage wrongly? Did Mayfield throw a bad pass? Did the DB just make a great play that he would have made even if Manning had been throwing the pass and we just need to give him credit rather than criticize Mayfield? There are too many variables to just
    throw Mayfield under the bus and say the season is over.

      You, sir, are making way too much sense. There are no variables to be considered and there is no scenario in which it wasn’t Mayfield’s fault. I wasn’t there to see it but I know Mayfield sucks because he didn’t win every game as a true freshman walk-on at a second rate Big 12 also-ran led by a 1st year coach two years ago, so it had to be Mayfield’s fault. Stop trying to confuse me with your duplicitous, deceitful excuse making.

    Said it before, with it’s personal agenda Texas was the sole reason for the Big 12 split. I’ve heard on here where some said OU was to blame too. I disagree 100%. Not going into everything again but it’s a shame. When I hear SEC or any bashing of the Big 12, my disdain of UT goes off the chart. Hell, they even hate themselves. To think we finally rid ourselves of Dodds only to get this jerk in Patterson.

      First Texas killed the SWC, now they have the Big12 on life support. When are people going to realize that its UT that’s the problem? So far only Arkansas, A&M, Colorado, Nebraska, and Missouri have been smart enough to realize it.
