What would ESPN do if there were no SEC team in the playoff?
They would talk up the sec even more.
This.
They would spend weeks explaining why the BCS was a better system.
Make up an sec playoff bracket.
They would hand Slive the AP trophy & say “this is for the whole conference… SEC SEC SEC!!!”
They whould probably say the other conferences were much weaker from top to bottom and the SEC teams were penalized for having to play such a brutal conference schedule. Of course, nothing will be said for these powderpuff matchups it seems all of the SEC teams seem to schdule as con-conf games. Samford. Presbyterian. Eastern Kentucky (or was it Western Kentucky). I cant be bothered checking – I just know it is pathetic. I give props to Tennessee for scheduling OU but I know Alabama, Auburn and co. routinely schedule teams they can basically destroy and rest half their starters and blood backups.
Quickly chance the narrative on how the only “true” playoff is an 8 team playoff. And the SEC should easily make up half the bracket every year.

It would be glorious to see! I re watched the OU-Tennessee game a few evenings back and Fowler would not stop his SEC love-fest.

Idea for a story later this week or early next week, given the off week:
Some kind of recruiting round up. I’m a little behind, but some kind of details listing out our current roster situation (how many scholarships, how many guys we know are leaving), who we’ve got committed at each position, who we are still hard after at each position, and maybe how many players at each spot you expect us to take.
I know that is something that would interest me.
That would be very interesting. I bet Jordan and Super K would nail it. I am looking forward to Dec. 19-21st when Jefferson, McNeal, DeBerry, and McKee will have announced their commitments. If OU gets zero commitments from that group their linebacker offers are down to Wheeler, Kirkland, McGinnis, and Houston. Surely the football gods will gift us with a true linebacker out of the above group. Just think of all the linebackers OU has had over the years.
I think when one or two of the big linebacker recruits commit to wherever the others will too. Seems like they are all watching where the other will go.

I think it’s sad, recruit’s see the Sooners has talent. ESPN even acknowledge that, it’s the coaching that has been exposed. Bob Stoops this year looks so much like Mack Brown last year. They have that look like what happened, where did they (team) go. Bob looked so good and relaxed at the beginning of the year, to only have both his coordinator’s exposed. Bob know’s the states pulse, he is in questioned about this program’s. 2 years in a row our team has no identity. Unheard of, 3- losses in a season, Booing at home game, 2 losses on home field,one a complete embarrassment, OU fan’s fed up with the shouting show, and now there is definitely a recruiting issue. We will not have a top recruiting class this year. Once again thing’s unheard of, recruit’s in state starting to announce and share their displeasure with OU, have you notice OU coaches seem to be really panicking. Quarter Back not recruited yet, It’s November. QB’s announce in spring trying to recruit players they desire to play with. I guess there is always a first. Sabin5 mil, Bob 5mil, where are there teams? Somebody is backing up what he does, the other is backing up what he did. All I can say is it cost to be a SOONER. So who is paying the price now? Player’s, student’s, or fan’s. Player’s want to be on championship teams. Bob you got 1, beaten in 3 others. You got sarcastic with Barry at the beginning of your tenure, telling Barry how you just win when it comes to NC’s. How funny 2 coaches elite history BS & BS, so where is the Bull ….? Just asking I’m confused as to what happened. LEGENDARY HISTORY.

i wrote that wrong, lamical’s dad is samaje’s cousin.
well he plays for a 7a school in bama. Im not sure if 7a is the highest(6a is the highest level in oklahoma), but i would suspect he plays against some decent competition.
I think OU is already interested in him.
He can run, catch, and THROW. I’m sold if only on bloodline alone.
