K has asked that I let you all know that following the bowl game, I have decided to step away from the site for a while. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a while, something K & I have already discussed several times, and the bowl game feels like as good a time as any, I suppose.
There are a lot of reasons why I’ve come to that decision and I won’t bore you will all the specifics. The short version is this has simply become something I just don’t enjoy as much as I used to.
And to be perfectly honest, I’m not entirely sure why that is. But at the risk of sounding like an incredible cheese ball, I’ve long believed this life we live is much too short to continue doing things that you do not enjoy.
So maybe this time away will help me to find that enjoyment again, and K will be gracious enough to allow me to return. Lord knows how much he’s already put up with from me and how generous he’s been (1) ever letting me be a part of TFB in the first place or (2) let alone how long he’s tolerating me for as long as he has.
Or maybe I’ll find it’s just not something I want to do any longer, period. At this point I just don’t know.
But I do know how much I appreciate K and everyone else here on TFB, especially all of you who have played such a large part in helping to make it what it is.
All of which was my very long-winded way of doing what K asked me to do in letting you know he (K) is looking for someone to take over the Daily.
So if you’re interested, K has encouraged me to let you know to reach out to him via Twitter. Just slide on into those DMs 😉

BASKETBALL
Another gut-punch of a loss for this young, talented team. Still a really big fan of both them & Kruger, but as I’ve already said at some point they really need to start winning some of these games. Because things aren’t going to get any easier once Big 12 play starts.
#Sooners drop a tough one to Memphis, 99-94 in overtime.
