Got a little crazy this morning on the links? Good job. Okay my comment for today is this: What if DGB was playing on this team? Wow
Got a little crazy this morning on the links? Good job. Okay my comment for today is this: What if DGB was playing on this team? Wow
For all of OU success, they never seem to have two great WRs on the same team at the same time. Imagine if DGB, Ryan Broyles, and Shep played together.
Shepard, Saunders, Bester, and Jaz Reynolds was a nice wr grouping
You forgot Mr. Brown.
Or just DGB, shep, westbrook
We wouldn’t have landed Westbrook if DGB had stayed.
Imagine Perine in the wishbone (FB) playing alongside AD (TB) and Demond Parker (TB).
just wait tlll 2016 when OU will field Andrews, Todd, Mead, & Smallwood in a 4 man receiver set !!! 4 great ones at one time !!!
why are you always so optimistic?
DGB really needed to stay another year to work on his technique.
He would have gone higher in the draft. Top 5 ceiling for sure, more $$$
He would have started his career in the pros a lot smoother, but instead he really isn’t doing well right now.
Yeah, would love to have him this yr: DGB, shep, westbrooke, neal. Not bad.
And westbrooke needs to stay another year. He’ll do better it looks to me like.
Iglesias, manny Johnson, Broyles, Gresham
Bet he wishes he were now.
I don’t know if you caught the game last night but aaron colvin lwent up against him. Colvin blanketed him.
Colvin is having a good season.
Yup. DGB isn’t. I bet he’s thinking he should have stayed.
He’d make a good #2 receiver in this offense.
It’s a smash a frog morning.
Frog giggin’ starts tomorrow night. Ribbit.
Go Sooners! Play like champions! Fry the frogs!

B/f the season I said it was Mayfield, Knight, Thomas and Mayfield had that “it” factor. I remember getting ripped and people giving me his TD to int ratio at TT in response. Now, BS (above), Cale (last night on coaches show) are saying it.
Congrats?
Congrats?
No, even a blind squirrel can find a pecan sometime, but seriously, I did spend more time than I ever have before watching the last two spring games, games Thomas played in and the spring games, and I watched them over and over, each interception I watched as many as 35x. I came away very impressed with Mayfield, and thought knight was improved and even better in this system, and Thomas wasn’t ready yet.
I thought the same due to Riley’s offense but I wasn’t going to anoint Baker until they announced it. I was pulling for TK but I was good either way. My deal is all QB’s throw interceptions or pic 6’s, it’s a part of their risk. However, there are some who think they should never throw an INT and when they do, all heck breaks loose.
Here’s a cookie.
No, I don’t want ND in playoff over us, HOWEVER, I wouldn’t mind bama getting beat and the final 4 being: clem, ND, osu, OU and leave the SEC out! That would be sweet b/c I do want at least an 8 game playoff.
Florida would have to lose in that scenario as well.
SEC is only out if they have a 3 loss champ.
I’m not so sure… I know why you would think that, but I can’t see any way to justify jumping a 2 loss SEC team over 5 or so 1 loss teams from P5 conferences.
Unlikely that a 2-loss sec champ gets in, unless the Big 10 is left with a one-loss Iowa champ, and the Big 12 has a one-loss champ not named Oklahoma.
Leave the SEC out and watch what ESPin does next.
Other than their heads exploding?

LOL! I didn’t think of that, but yes, you’re right.
Alabama would have to lose to Auburn then beat Florida. Even then suddenly “rivalry game” would be an excuse where before it didn’t seem to excuse our loss to Texas.
Was thinking about that the other day. Auburn could have like 9 or 10 losses, but if they still beat Bama in the Iron Bowl, all we would hear from the talking heads at ESPiN and the committee is how Bama shouldn’t be punished for it because it’s such an intense rivalry game where anything could happen. Guaranteed.
Even though we know how it will play out, I’d still love to see it actually happen.
That would be highly satisfying. If Bama loses (very unlikely) to Florida in the sec CC, they’re out. Forida is in – unless they suffer another loss before that game, which may happen against Florida State.
Would love to play Florida again on a big time stage, and dish out a little payback.
Both scenarios could happen. Strange things happen in the Alabama Auburn game and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Florida State beats Florida. Florida was extremely lucky to beat Tennessee.
So was Bama, for that matter.
Need UF to lose to FSU in that scenario, and the SEC may get shut out. Doubt it happens, but I’d laugh.
Don’t forget who’s coming to the game Saturday.
I forgot. Who?
Jesus

Love the image, but the OCD part of me must point out that Horned Frogs are actually lizards.
..
Giving the Houston coach 3 million tells me Houston may be heading into the Big 12
They can have our spot. I’m done with Big XII – 2
I hope we don’t have yet another Texas school to recruit against in our league. Would prefer a Cincy and BYU.
Cincy and Memphis. I don’t want to deal with BYU’s rules, and the travel would be bad, especially for teams like WVU.
Cincy. Memphis. UCF. South Florida.
Those Florida schools really suck, though.
Every team you hear mentioned now is a team that brings nothing. We need to just leave.
They won’t add another Texas school because that would force one of OU and Okie Lite to be in the Big XII North Division and they would never split us up like that. Unless we decide to add 4 teams to the conference, but that seems rather unlikely. If one of them is Houston, the other 3 would have to be in the North. BYU, Memphis, and Cincy, maybe? Seems like a long shot.
I get it but Big 12 has been in talks with Houston. If OU wins out and get’s shut out of the playoffs, we will have 2 or 4 more teams asap. Or, we will have a new Big 12 commish.
Bowlsby needs to go, yesterday.
Umm, we’ve needed a new commish for quite a few years now.
Douchelord Gundy is at it again. Really, I wouldn’t mind seeing him drop two straight.
Drop two?
I wasn’t aware he had a pair. :-0
“I wasn’t aware he had a pair.”
I bet you didn’t know it,
That you, sir, are a poet.
And though I don’t care if the Gundies win,
I wouldn’t mind to see them blow it.
Uhhh, I don’t want to see that.

Cool. I will check it out.
Thanks!
I read the article. I don’t think coach Harper is worried. He expects his boys will continue to compete.
They competed against the same team in the playoffs and lost 55-35 last year when they had 13 D1 commits.
Even if Coach isn’t worried they are facing a team on a 6-0 run that is always loaded with athletes.

All I ever see mentioned as opposed to this 4 team playoff, would be an 8 team. Why not go with 6? You get all the P5 champs, plus one at-large from a group of 5 (or another from a P5 conference, if there is not a worthy candidate from the group of 5.)
This way, you still get the integrity of a “small” playoff field, but allow all P5 champs a chance at the title. The way it works is simple…you give the 1 and 2 teams a bye, and the others “play their way in,” to the final 4.
I mean, 8 would be okay, but I don’t ever want to see a 2-loss team get in (unless all “top” teams had two losses…), and/or, I don’t want to see a team get a second shot at an opponent they already lost to… i.e.. ND possibly getting another shot at Clemson, whom they already lost to. And if they ever went to 8 (or god forbid, more than that..), this is the type of stuff we’d see nearly every year.
Has to be 8. If you start having bye weeks it would cause more dissatisfaction. Make every conference champ earn it every step of the way. It is mibd boggling the NCAA didn’t give all conference champs a shot in the 1st place. All P5 champs, highest ranked Group of 5 champ, + 2 at large. Put them all on the field and tell them to get to work.
Many reports say that university presidents oppose an eight team playoff since it would require an extra game. Afraid of extra liability for injuries.
Ultimately we go to P4. The conference championship games are your round of eight.
That bleacher report article on Buddy is awesome!
Sterling Shepard, you sir are ridiculous! It has been fun watching you play. Big play after big play, you will go down as one of the all time greats. Go forth and have a great pro career and produce many offspring and demand they attend the University of Oklahoma.
