NFL careers are fairly short. Hope he gets picked up. He’s been a great player.
He is done. He really struggled in Oakland last year. He lost his starting spot for them. Too many miles on him. He now needs to join JD Runnels and continue developing Oklahoma talent
Could come to OU for GA spot.
He played in the league for almost 10 years. I would think at that point he could just start at position coach.

Thanks. I like to watch the OU guys that are new to the league to hope they get a chance. Sam, AD, Gresh, etc. are not much to watch in the pre-season if they play at all.
After the articles, Shep will be the most interesting – unless the NYG think he is sooooooo good that they keep most of his talent under wraps.

Yes. They probably need to play him for experience, but in their situation he HAS to play in the early regular season – they have nobody else.

Since I keep up with the Steelers as religiously as I do with the Sooners, I thought I would post some camp updates on Landry Jones. Last year there were questions if he was even good enough to be the 3rd string QB. He got his chance with BigBen and Vick getting hurt and did “ok.” This year he has earned the 2nd string gig and it has been said that he is getting the ball out much quicker in this year’s camp. He will get the majority of the snaps tonight if y’all are wanting to watch a former Sooner.
Seemed like they talked about Geno a good amount last night.
Yeah, that’s the one (I think) major drawback to doing something like this. It’s impossible to watch every game and give every guy the proper context for the stats listed.
Dude, you are hustling your a** getting all the nuggets together so we more than appreciate it. It gets the people talking, at least. I for one didn’t even know there were games already (“Last Chance U” binges in case anyone’s wondering)

Kind of off topic, but may be of interest to Sooner fans. I tuned in to the New Orleans Fox affiliate for the Saints/Patriots pre game show and Curtis Lofton was the analyst. He did a pretty good job too. I believe he will be all of Fox 8 New Orleans local Saints programming.
For someone with too much time on their hands: If we combined all (no number limit) former OU players currently in the NFL on a team (Boomer Laters)… what would the depth chart look like?

I’m a charger fan and had no idea Chuka was on our roster! Our rush defense is Swiss cheese lol.
Denver fans, is Cory Nelson in the dog house or what? I thought he would step up and possibly start this season.
Rumor is that Tapper had a sore back.
