Jalen Reagor: Last night 2017 WR, Jalen Reagor, decommitted from Oklahoma and committed to TCU.

Earlier in the day we had been told that a Reagor flip was very possible. The reason? It’s a little murky but the word is that the family would prefer him at TCU for their own reasons. It does appear there was a bit of a fracture in the relationship between the Sooners and Reagor back when he took the TCU visit and the OU staff was none to pleased and voiced the displeasure. However, based on what I’ve heard, I get the sense that’s pretext. Again, I’m told the family wants him at TCU for a particular reason.

I certainly don’t see this as a sign that the Sooner Squad 17 is wavering in general. Though, in talking to some folks in the Dallas area, Charleston Rambo is someone to keep an eye on. You’ll recall that he and Reagor are close and committed to Oklahoma around the same time. TCU offered Rambo recently and speaking to sources on the TCU side of things, they feel they’ve got a shot at ending up with Reagor, Rambo and Omar Manning.

I see the loss of Reagor as a blow primarily because of Reagor’s ability to do something Sooner wide receivers tend to struggle with, namely, be physical and come down with the ball against tight main coverage. – (Super K)

Next Man Up | Wide Receiver Targets: The Sooner staff had a sense this Reagor decommittment could be coming. We are told that Oklahoma has a few other targets they are recruiting/considering. We are still looking into each one of these prospects:

DJ Matthews: Matthews is a Florida State commit out Jacksonville, FL. Matthews visited Norman last spring for an unofficial visit. We will be checking to see if he may be open to the Sooners.

Saiid Adebo: Adebo is teammates with current Sooner commit, Kennedy Brooks out of Mansfield, TX. Adebo is currently committed to Notre Dame. Adebo was offered by Oklahoma back in the spring. We’re checking to see if a visit might happen however I am told that Adebo’s highest priority is academics. In fact I was told by a source that if Stanford had room, that’s where he’d be committed.

Ryan Jones: Jones is a former UNC WR commit out of Charlotte, North Carolina. Jones has a good and long standing relationship with coach Lincoln Riley. We expect Jones to set up an official visit to Oklahoma.

Jaylond Adams: Of the four players mentioned, Jaylond Adams (Adamsville, AL) is the only one who does not hold a Sooners offer. Adams is an under the radar recruit that we are told the Sooners are looking at. Adams tells us he spoke with the Sooners earlier this week. He’s an athlete who plays WR and RB. Certainly looks the part of a guy who can get separation on film. – (Brandon & Super K)

Chuck Filiaga: 2017 OT, Chuck Filiaga (Aledo, TX) tells us that he will take an official visit to Oklahoma next weekend for the Kansas game.

Filiaga has recently taken official visits to Michigan and Oregon. This will be a return visit to Norman for Filiaga. In terms of additional visits Filiaga says, “I have Nebraska next month then my last one I haven’t decided on yet”.

In terms of a commitment date, Filiaga tells us he will announce his decision on January 7th.

An interesting note is that while we had originally thought the Sooners would be done at offensive line with one more commitment, we are now being told that they would take both Adrian Ealy and Chuck Filiaga should both want to be Sooners. – (Brandon)
