Team Note | Matthew Romar: TFB has confirmed through multiple sources that OU starting nose guard, Matthew Romar, did not practice yesterday. Sources also indicated that Romar’s absence was due to a head injury suffered this week during practice. I cannot confirm the severity of said injury.

This is obviously a concern since Romar suffered a concussion in fall camp. Later today we will check on whether he practices. I should note that him not practicing doesn’t necessarily mean he would be out for the game. It’s common to hold a player out as a precaution.

I am told that Wade and Gallimore were taking the first and second team snaps respectively in practice. Should Romar be unavailable for the game on Saturday, expect the rotation to be Wade and Gallimore. – (Super K)

Team Note | Tay Evans: I am told that Tay Evans was back at practice on Wednesday. Interestingly, I am also told that Emmanuel Beal has been sharing reps with the first team linebackers. It sounds like the staff liked what they saw from him last weekend so we may see him receive more reps this week than we saw in the Houston game. – (Super K)

Team Note | Charles Walker: I am told Walker still isn’t full go at practice. Again, HC Stoops said he should be available for this weekend’s game. – (Super K)
