  • Dick Bump says:

    Come on Meechegan!

  • Daddy R says:

Fumble clemson. S. Car. has gotten two turnovers so far early. Need to somehow capitalize. lol

  • Austin says:

I’ve been telling the overconfident Clemson fans all week that Carolina wasn’t gonna come out here and lay down for Clemson. If the gamecocks can just find an offense.

  • Robertson / Robertson 2016 says:

Hurry up and suck, every other CFB team. We’re ready for some real football.

    #Bedlam

  • Daddy R says:

    S. Carolina D is fired up! Wonder if they can keep this up ALL game though..

  • Gurry says:

Well, was really lookin forward to being in Stoolwater for a Sooner win, but it looks like the weather may preclude it… BOOMER!

  • Mr. Jones says:

    Boom! Abdul Adams!

  • Austin says:

    Abdul Adams just committed!!

  • SamSooner says:

    Boom, it is!

      • SamSooner says:

He looks really good wearing #2 in that crimson and cream. It’s been a while since OU has had superstars on defense and offense sharing the same number.

        Mbanasor and Adams.

  • Jon Nakata says:

    no Prediction Thread??

  • EasTex says:

The weather forecast for tonight seems to be improving by the hour.

  • SamSooner says:

TFB Fam, win tonight and I don’t see why OU couldn’t win it all. Clemson is looking very average, beatable.

  • Daddy R says:

Well, that is surprising. S. Carolina actually scored an offensive TD, throwing. Still 21-10 Clemson..

  • Gurry says:

Anyone else think it’s awesome that Michigan has a tight end named Butt?

  • Daddy R says:

Gamecocks trying to make this a game… 28-17 Clemson.

  • Robertson / Robertson 2016 says:

    Beat the Pukes.

  • Daddy R says:

Gamecocks score after a clemson fumble. 28-25. Clemson. 12 min left in 4th..

  • SoonerfanTU says:

Big 10 just isn’t very good. Ohio State isn’t very good, and they are taking it to Michigan, at their house, with a lot on the line.

  • SoonerfanTU says:

Fuente is going to be the replacement for Beamer at VT. Been a lot of chatter, and ESPN just had it on the bottom of their broadcast. Good gig for him.

    • EasTex says:

He could do a whole lot better. He should hold out for lsu.

      • SoonerfanTU says:

I don’t see him as a fit there. Nor do I see LSU as a for sure open job. Been a lot of back-tracking in the last 24 hours, but if Miles is let go, I’m guessing they have a more proven plan than Fuente.

        • Jpsooner23 says:

          Yes, jimbo fisher.

        • leatherneck1061 says:

If I were Fisher I sure wouldn’t leave FSU for LSU. He’s recruiting top flight talent where he is, and the ACC is a joke. Just beat Clemson and look reasonably good against a collection of cupcakes and you’re in the final 4.

      • Sooner Ray says:

I’m not sure he is big enough for lsu boosters.

        • EasTex says:

Depends on if they want some one that can come in and win. Ask Ye Olde Miss if they would approve of Fuente in BR.

      • Brent says:

I actually think Gary Patterson would be the best fit for LSU…too bad they will look in a different direction.

  • soonermusic says:

Hoping and assuming that the point losing penalty issues will finally be under control this evening. I’m with ETex on the ice issue. No need for anything that can easily cause pointless injuries.

I expect OSU to look much better than they have all season tonight, but I think OU is gonna be too improved on both sides of the ball this year for it to make a difference. If Baker is 100%, it might not be close. Even if he’s not, unless things go totally wacky the Sooners should regain their rightful place in this rivalry–finishing on top.

  • Mizuno44 says:

We take care of business tonight, I believe we stay in the playoff. I think winner of Big 10 championship determines 4th spot, and Ohio State most likely will light Iowa up. Bye Bye Hawkeyes.

    • Recondo says:

I agree the B1G champ is in but I’m not so sure OhSt or MSU just walks through Iowa. They seemed very balanced yesterday and those other squads have had their issues this year. I wouldn’t put $$$ on Iowa but I wouldn’t bet against them either.

      • Daddy R says:

I think Iowa has a better shot against MSU. IF they have to play tOSU, I think Iowa loses.

        • Recondo says:

Very possible. Both teams are obviously more talented than Iowa. Iowa has put out consistent team efforts week in and week out. MSU & OhSt have both had several ugly games. Really doesn’t matter because they should eliminate each other.

    • SoonerinLondon says:

We have a lot of work ahead of us before we can get to the playoff.

    • leatherneck1061 says:

MSU looks likely to crush any hope tOSU had.

  • Recondo says:

Looked for a bit like the Gamecocks were going to throw a monkey wrench in the playoff. Don’t see them finishing the job, unfortunately.

  • SoonerOracle737 says:

Clemson looks very beatable. Limited offensive package for sure.

    • soonerthunder says:

Agree. To me it looks like Final 4 are, if OU wins: Clemson, Bama, OU, Mich St. I think OU can beat any of the other 3 if we get in.

  • SoonerfanTU says:

Where are all those OU fans that flipped out that OU didn’t go after Durbin to be our DC? He’s been solid at Michigan against bad offenses, but OSU is gashing them today. I’ll just keep Mikey Stoops if it’s all the same. 🙂

  • leatherneck1061 says:

Watching tOSU manhandle Michigan making me nervous. A week ago I was really wanting us to blow the pukes off the field, but at this point I’ll settle for just getting the W and going home healthy. It’s late in the season, and teams are still getting some rude awakenings.

    • soonerthunder says:

I want Mich St to win and beat Iowa (either OSU or Mich St will beat Iowa, imo). And if we win, we’ll be in with two teams that aren’t prolific scoring teams (Bama and Mich St)

  • Robertson / Robertson 2016 says:

    1. Perine is a better back than Henry.
    2. Mixon is a better back than Henry.
    3. Water is wet.

  • brainpimp says:

Abdul Adams All American AAAA coincidence? I think not!

  • Zack says:

Looks like auburn hasn’t watched any film this year trying to run on Alabama on 3rd and 5 c’mon man.

  • blaster1371 says:

As I trudged along going nowhere on the treadmill yesterday I had the thought of what this OU offense might have been (more lethal) had DGB had stayed. Can you imagine having to leave Shepherd one on one so you could bracket DGB?

  • leatherneck1061 says:

Any updates on the weather for tonight?

  • Sooner Ray says:

Pretty sure I would smile if Auburn could find a way to beat bama.

  • Gurry says:

    Nothing like a battle of FGs…. #secfootball

    • Recondo says:

It’s the powerful, earth shattering, menacing, unbreakable defenses.

    • paganpink says:

I may be a homer but neither Auburn nor Alabama look impressive at all. And considering Alabama’s constant top 5 recruiting classes that takes some effort to look that ineffective! Saban must be a very poor coach, indeed.

  • leatherneck1061 says:

Gotta hand it to the Tide. I’m telling ya….7 minutes from the half and tied with 5-loss Auburn 6 to 6! This Bama offense is for real folks! Lol.

    • blaster1371 says:

At the risk of sounding like a punk…and OU lost to texass…that sorry ass football team. If OU was ever allowed a do over it would be that game. Granted this OU team now is night and day different than that OU team in early October. This OU team would hang 60 points on them.

    • soonerthunder says:

yeah, but you don’t understand. They play in the SEC!!!! And in those 5 wins they have beaten: Jacksonville St (by 7), San Jose St (by 14), Kentucky (by 3) and Idaho!!!! They’re SEC good!!!!

  • leatherneck1061 says:

Buckeye joy being turned to buckeye tears as PSU cannot find the endzone to save their lives.

  • leatherneck1061 says:

Boy the tide really know how to shut up people like me. No sooner do I jeer than they put up yet another awesome FG. I am truly chagrined. 😉

  • Robertson / Robertson 2016 says:

How does this Bama team pass anyone’s “eye test” if not for bias? I mean, seriously. I’d love to beat their butts again in prime time. Let all these 5-stars see what kind of sham Saban has cooked up for the CFB culture.

  • leatherneck1061 says:

Whew! Sure hope we don’t have to face this Bama team. 4 whole field goals in the first half. An offensive juggernaut if ever I saw one.

  • Daddy R says:

15 min til Sooner Radio show folks…
    IT’s. ALMOST. TIME.

  • Recondo says:

I’m happy Justin Fuente landed a P5 coaching gig but I can’t believe VT didn’t hand that program over to Bud Foster.

    • Zack says:

New blood. Beamer was probably asked to resign so they may not want any of his guys.

      • Daddy R says:

Read on ESPN that DC Bud Foster, and Associate Head Coach Shane Beamer are expected to stay on staff in same capacity..

  • leatherneck1061 says:

Ok that was a nice trick play right there

  • leatherneck1061 says:

MSU scores again. Buckeye whimpers turn to loud wailing.

  • Sooner Ray says:

If Auburn could tackle, they would have already won this game.

    • Jpsooner23 says:

I HATE Bama, but Henry is very much like Perine. Makes goods tacklers look bad. If we play them it won’t be as easy as it appears. He’s strong and falls forward every play.

      • Sooner Ray says:

Yeah I know Henry is a tough dude, was really talking about the number of times they hit the bama QB and receivers behind the line only to let them loose for a big play.

  • F1at1ined says:

Hadn’t seen Coker trusted to air the ball too much but his TD pass was pretty nice. Still feel the way to beat Bama is to take Henry away as a factor and trust your secondary against Coker.

  • Zack says:

I was just about to say this game is over. Auburn has no chance down 2 touchdowns.

  • aklibtard says:

I’m watching KU vs KSU, just to see the train wreck. How can a team in a Power 5 conference be as bad as KU?

    • Recondo says:

I’m watching William & Mary vs Duquesne in round 1 of the FCS playoff. Pretty sure these guys would beat KU.

    • Golfluvr13 says:

Um, Charlie Weiss. KU lost a ton of money hiring him. I believe they have to pay him for a couple more years too. Then Turner Gill, TERRIBLE hire! They should have never let Mangino go. He had that program competing and competing well.

      • RBear says:

        They should hire Paul Rhoads

        • Golfluvr13 says:

They have a really good coach right now. He just needs a couple of years to get decent recruits in there (KU recruits). Turner Gil did a terrible job recruiting for them.

          • RBear says:

I’m just pulling for Rhoads to land somewhere, I think he’s a quality guy.

          • Golfluvr13 says:

I think he is a good coach as well. Maybe Memphis will give him a shot when Fuente leaves.

          • Recondo says:

Plenty of job openings. He’ll land somewhere.

          • Recondo says:

I think they have the least # of scholarshio players in FBS, if I remember correctly. Weis didn’t know how to properly plan for turnover and manage his roster. KU is suffering the after effects now. They would be smart to use all those available scholarships and the opportunity to play early to grab a bunch of JUCOs to bridge the gap.

          • Golfluvr13 says:

Exactly. Weiss started this downhill trend. He had no idea how to manage a roster. They also are very young. Beatty got rid of the locker room cancers in the off season and that hurt some too, but I think was the right move to get his players there.

  • Austin says:

So, I just thought I would share this in case nobody heard it earlier. Bama was up 9-6 with 2 minutes left in the first half. They had the ball on about their own 40 yard line and Gary Danielson said,”Alabama has been in so many big games, they smell blood right here and they’re going in for the kill.” Ignorant statements like that are why I hate watching games with Danielson and Lundquist commentating. Really Gary? Bama is going to put Auburn away in the first half? I don’t think we’ll hear a more ignorant comment all day long. Go Auburn and most of all, Boomer Sooner!

    • Recondo says:

Well, he ain’t Nostradamus is he? Auburn is keeping this thing tight.

    • blaster1371 says:

Danielson’s love fest with the sec and Alabama in particular is borderline pornographic. The guy needs to get out of the southeast more often.

      • DrewChubbs says:

I think about 65% of the sports broadcasting personnel have little crimson elephants tattooed on their johnnies. Since they all seem to have a HO for Nicky, and by extension the sec.

  • leatherneck1061 says:

MSU/PSU all but over. Buckeye wailing and gnashing of teeth heard all over Ohio.

  • rphokc says:

    ………

  • rphokc says:

    ………

  • Patvan says:

The offensive line that decommited and went to ucla how is he doing there does any one know?

  • F1at1ined says:

So Saban marches on field ranting about the possibility of a missed 12 man on field call (it wasn’t) and gets a sideline warning. Muschamp gets riled up and let’s loose some expletives and gets a 15 yard penalty. Why doesn’t he get a warning too? 15 yards back means no Bama FG.

    • Austin says:

They’ve gotta make sure somebody from the SEC gets in the playoff. They know if Bama loses the playoff aspirations are dashed for the conference. Maybe with the exception of Florida.

  • Austin says:

Auburn = Bad… But let’s watch ESPN and crew hype this up to a dogfight with 2 world class defenses, and a quality win for Bama.

    • rphokc says:

      you’re a broken record, and it’s cbs

      • Austin says:

I was more so referring to all the sports networks, not just cbs. I know the network that the game is being televised on because I’m watching it, thanks.

    • leatherneck1061 says:

That goes without question. Bama could lose that game, and the talking heads would come to their defense because “it’s such a brutal rivalry!” Lol, whatever.

  • Tony Thomas says:

I see why everyone thinks Bama’s defense is the best in the country. The QBs in the SEC are horrible and that’s being really nice!

    • Austin says:

Jeremy Johnson is terrible! If Auburn even had any kind of passing threat, they could have won this game.

  • Golfluvr13 says:

    Game thread is up.
