Here comes week 5 after an eventful week 4!
OU plays at 11:00 on Saturday, but there’s plenty more football to watch. This thread will highlight a few games to watch and give TFB readers a place to hang out while catching this weekend’s football.
Big 12 Games
Week 4 had 7 Big 12 teams playing: 3 non-conference games and 2 conference matches.
Results
The Good: Texas managed to hold off Oklahoma State to break its Austin losing streak to the Cowboys and deliver a resume-boosting win. Iowa State thumped on UL Monroe. Although Baylor could have done things in more convincing fashion, they beat Rice to go to 3-0. West Virginia delivered its third win of the season in a close game against Kansas.
The Bad: TCU could not come back to beat a surprisingly solid SMU squad. Kansas squandered one of its few chances for a conference win. Oklahoma State could not beat Texas thanks to shoddy red zone offense and puzzling coaching decisions.
Week 5 has 8 Big 12 teams playing in the first week of all conference match-ups.
