CFB Open Thread | 2018 Week 2

All times listed in CDT

The Sooners play at 12:00 on Saturday. There are several games before, during, and after that are worth the watch.

Big 12 Games

Last week, the Big 12 had some highlights and some… disappointments.

The Good: Oklahoma and West Virginia won in convincing fashion against decent opponents. TCU and Oklahoma State thrashed teams they should. Baylor beat a team, so good for them.

The Bad: Kansas State barely squeaked out a win against South Dakota, which would have made two Big 12 teams losing to an FCS school in one weekend. Texas Tech proved they’re still not ready to compete on a consistent basis.

The Ugly: Kansas lost to Nicholls, which was one of their only chances at a win and prompted debate over the worth of having football at Kansas. For the second year in a row, Texas lost to Maryland.

Iowa State saw their game cancelled.
