Bob Diaco Interviewing With Sooners Today

SoonerScoop is reporting that Lincoln Riley is expected to add Bob Diaco to his staff as a defensive analyst.

While we cannot confirm the report, we can say, per a source, that Bob Diaco is interviewing with Licoln Riley today and when asked if a hire was imminent we were told it was “Trending that way”.
The hire would make sense in terms of connections with the staff. Diaco played at Iowa, was the defensive coordinator at Notre Dame while Kerry Cooks was there, and Ruffin McNeill is familiar with him from his time at East Carolina while Diaco was the Head Coach at Connecticut.
We will continue to monitor this potential hire.
