New Offer – Raymond Wingo

It appears last week Oklahoma offered Raymond Wingo, 2014 CB/WR out of St. Louis Missouri. Raymond is indeed the brother of former Arkansas player, Ronnie Wingo.
Perhaps the coaches thought that the horrible season Arkansas is having might open the door here.
We’ve been told that Oklahoma is looking to take two more CBs in this class so we are assuming this offer was made on the defensive side of the ball. And in case you missed it, Oklahoma also offered Cornelius Floyd, 2014 DB out of Miaimi last week.

Not at all but a good question
The big question is what would he prefer to play, and what is Arkansas promising him as a position? I know we lost a recruit to TCU a couple years back because he wanted to play WR and OU wanted him at DB.

By the way. Bielema better start winning to justify that high salary Arkansas is paying him. I believe he’s being payed more than Stoops at the moment. Ouch.
That USA Today article I believe you are referring to included Bert’s buyout from Wisconsin in his salary IIRC. Poor decision to include it.

I coach soccer Wingo’s high school. The word I have heard is that he wanted Mizzou, didn’t want Mizzou so Pinkle quit pursuing him. He decided he wanted to go to Mizzou again…reluctantly-or so I’m told-Pinkle extended the offer again thinking Wingo would commit and Wingo said he wanted to take his visits. The point is, he is full of drama apparently
