2017 WCWS | OU vs. Baylor | Game Thread

The Sooners return to ASA Hall of Fame Stadium tonight after sweeping Auburn this weekend. Tonight’s opponent will be Baylor.

The Sooners and Bears matched up three times this season. In April, a 3 game stretch in Norman resulted in OU winning two and Baylor taking the other.
In this round of the WCWS, there are two Brackets of 4 teams each. Each Bracket is double elimination, with the victors of each Bracket going on to play in a best of 3 championship.
This afternoon, Bracket 1 played their games. This bracket consists of Florida, UCLA, Texas A&M, and LSU. Florida smoked Texas A&M (8-0) and LSU beat UCLA (2-1). Florida and LSU will play Friday evening, with Texas A&M and UCLA playing Saturday afternoon in an elimination game.
OU is in Bracket 2. This bracket has Oregon, Washington, Oklahoma, and Baylor. Oregon and Washington play tonight at 6:00, with OU and Baylor being the late game. With a win, OU will play Friday evening (after the Florida vs. LSU game) against the winner of Oregon and Washington. With a loss, OU will play Saturday afternoon (after the Texas A&M and UCLA match) against the loser of Oregon and Washington.
