OU has a history of walk-on receivers becoming regular contributors, scholarship players, and quite frankly stars, with recent receivers like Nick Basquine and Lee Morris coming to mind. Despite a high level of talent, the depth at receiver is surprisingly low for 2020. Smith will have an excellent chance to earn playing time for the Sooners this year.
