The Path to Norman
Thompson hails from St. Louis, Missouri. The big lineman hovered between the home-state Tigers and the Sooners for a long time, but eventually committed to Oklahoma on signing day.

Career So Far
Unfortunately, Thompson suffered a season-ending injury shortly after arriving on campus after tearing his ACL, so Sooner fans haven’t had the chance to see the big man in action.

2019 Season
Michael Thompson is a tall, strong presence on the field. After moving to the offensive line this spring, he slimmed down a bit and is ready to contribute on the field. Thompson has worked mainly at tackle this spring. Following a time backing Erik Swenson while Swenson was hurt, Thompson looks to be a reliable backup at tackle in his first season under Coach Bedenbaugh this fall and will certainly see his way onto the field for the Sooners.
