100 Days to Football Time in Oklahoma: #5 Woodi Washington

The Path to Norman

Woodi Washington, out of Tennessee, was a highly-ranked corner in the 2019 class. With offers from basically every top program in the country, he took visits to the likes of Notre Dame, Ohio State, Florida State, and Alabama in the summer of 2018. After all of them, however, he committed to the Sooners, without even having visited.

Highlights

2019 Season

OU has lots of options at corner this fall. Tre Brown, Parnell Motley, and Jordan Parker are the experienced veterans at the spot. Miguel Edwards, Jaden Davis, and Washington are the younger guys competing for playing time, with Coach Manning recently mentioning that they don’t look like young guys. Although the injury to Tre Norwood left this spot lighter, it’s still one with lots of options. TFB recently reported that the top four at corner appear to be Brown, Parker, Motley, and Davis. Washington will probably redshirt to preserve eligibility, but playing time is by no means out of reach as a talented corner. Regardless, he will provide depth this season if needed and be ready in 2020.
