100 Days to Football Time in Oklahoma: #4 Jaden Davis

The Path to Norman

Jaden Davis kept the South Florida pipeline alive in the 2019 class. A highly ranked corner, he was teammates at St. Thomas Aquinas with fellow Sooner Nik Bonitto. Despite offers from the likes of Clemson, Miami, and Texas, and several states of distance, Davis knew OU was the right choice from the first time he visited Norman and let it be known in the summer of 2018.

Highlights

2019 Season

TFB has repeatedly reported hearing Jaden Davis’ name as much or more than any other freshman, with sources mentioning his willingness to compete and that he received first team reps following the recent Tre Norwood injury. OU has lots of options at corner this fall. Tre Brown, Parnell Motley, and Jordan Parker are the experience veterans at the spot. Miguel Edwards, Woodi Washington, and Davis are the younger guys competing for playing time, with Coach Manning recently mentioning that they don’t look like young guys. TFB has recently reported that Davis is running with the two’s alongside Parker, with Brown and Motley starting. However, there is still plenty of competition and Davis will have every chance to earn plenty of playing time in 2019.
