Do you think this was intended to look like a sequel (of sorts) to Slumdog Millionaire or is it just me?

Is this a Bigfoot movie? That’s supposed to be scary?

Good stuff.

Awesome. Who would have thought he had it in him… Rick Neuheisel, Stairway To Playoffs. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=l3saokeEjyU

    • Fear The Magic says:

What are the odds that Neuheisel was twerking while singing that?

      • blaster1371 says:

Thank you for that mental image…. How do I get rid of that brain plaque?

        • Sooner_Ace says:

          Rum, then more Rum 🙂

        • SoonerKevin says:

The Rooney’s own the Steelers, and the Mara’s own the Giants. These guys are family. Rooney Mara’s name comes from combining the family’s name. her older sister is Kate Mara. I mention this because of the trailer.

      • Thomas Lenard says:

        twerking or tweeking?

    • leatherneck1061 says:

Ok that was funny! Jimbo’s tired of keeping tabs on whether Jameis paid for the crabs….lol.

    • soonermusic says:

Yeah, he had a good one last year, as well. Same minor issue of needing to edit for length, but clever…

  • Brad Warren says:

So tired of hearing bama didn’t care about bowl game. Convenient for all the pundits that picked them to kill us. Let the games begin! Let’s shut everybody up! Boomer Sooner!

    • blaster1371 says:

Yep just an excuse for losing. And Bama does themesleves a great disservice by even mentioning that line. If they are a “great” program then they should have competitive streak a mile wide. IMO they didn’t play horribly and a play here or there they win that game. OU played way above themselves that night and peaked, playing better than they had the whole season.

    • jonnyBgood says:

Never mind how Saban was slamming his headset to the turf all night. Let me guess, someone put some itch powder in it right? When you run out of excuses you can ALWAYS go to the “we didn’t care” well. Beyond tired…

    • Chase Korenek says:

It’s funny for a team to score within the first couple of minutes of the game and “not care”!

  • SamSooner says:

I don’t care how good you are when i know how great I am. Boomer! Sooner!

  • Jim says:

We’re 38-point favorites?!?!? Look, I love my Sooners, but there’s about a 5% chance we cover a 38-point spread. We’ve been inconsistent in openers over the last 5 years, even when we thought we shouldn’t be. I would LOVE for us to cover that, but I just don’t realistically see it happening.
That said, I’m hoping for an OU/Manny_Diaz_TX repeat with OU winning 63-21.

    • leatherneck1061 says:

I agree it’s a large spread, and our offense may not be ready to cover something like that. But if the OU D gives up 21 to La Tech…..I will be disappointed to say the least.

    • Mysterio1 says:

OU wont cover and we will drop in the polls. I love it because I like a focused and pissed off football team.

  • John Garner says:

I worried at our high ranking. We’ve never fared well going into a season ranked so high. So I’m glad the pundits think we’re over-rated, I’m glad Bama thinks the Sugar was a “consolation” game because all of that sh*t just gets our kids motivated. Now we see ourselves as the underdog and we play our best football from that position. ESpin, CBS, Fox, Nick Saban, all of the non-believers have done us a favor: they’ve made us believers in ourselves. It’s time to kick some ass.

    • blaster1371 says:

Yep. Better to be the ugly dude that goes stag to the prom but leaves with the prom queen. I always cringe when people, say there is no way we lose or are head and shoulders above everyone else ( ahem… Texass game 2013). That’s just bad mojo. Tell them they aren’t good enough…. And then watch them break your back. I just hope that chip stays on their shoulders through December.

  • blaster1371 says:

Jennifer Aniston has to be one of the prettiest women in show biz.. Along with Sandra Bullock. Yes I am in my 40s and I know this is not OU related … Well it is in a way… Like “oh you Ms Aniston you are so easy on the eyes”.

  • blaster1371 says:

Why can’t the Bigfoot movie come out in May? Would help keep the camp sites vacant.

  • Zack says:

Jordan, will you guys have a thread each week for bold predictions?

    • Jordan Esco says:

Each week? I wasn’t planning on it. Like bold predictions for each game you’re saying?

      • Zack says:

Each game or each week. Like for example I know I’m going way out on a limb but I’m picking wvu to upset Alabama. Or something like Alex ross will rush for 200 yards against la tech.

  • Sooner_Ace says:

Ordered my “BOOM.” shirt last night, thanks for you all efforts staff/writers. Cheers!

  • Jared William Reininger says:

I have always contested that he will probably have the charges dropped in self defense. And that it was funny that she could have been charged with a variety of other charges and wasn’t. I really hope this goes well for Joe. He really is a great guy in person and I don’t think he would have any reason to do such a thing.

And also, Manny Diaz, The coordinator that couldn’t stop BYU…..

  • barry says:

I wonder who this guy is talking nonsense to Bob Stoops at the press conference LOL. Anyone else catch that?

  • leatherneck1061 says:

Thanks for the post about the CBS and the spread. Now it’s not just about watching to see how the players perform – I actually have a goal for this team that I’ll be pulling for.

  • SoonerBredCD says:

The Soprano story intrigued me, so I clicked. When I realized the article was as long as Homer’s Odyssey, I no longer cared what the answer was.

  • soonermusic says:

Sarkisian “As I have said, nothing in his background led us to doubt him when he told us of his injuries, nor did anything after our initial vetting of his story.”

“Initial vetting of his story”…now there’s some good comedy writing for you…

  • Dave Clouse says:

Is this a consolation game? Oh, it’s not? OU 52-13

  • paganpink says:

OU wins 56 to 7. Easily makes the spread. BOOMER!

  • EasTex says:

My deepest sympathies to the good folks of South Carolina for having to host Aggies.

  • soonermusic says:

sequel to Slumdog…sure does seem to have some visual similarities..

  • James says:

So, anyone else hoping the gamecocks beat aTm by half a hundred? 🙂

  • Randy White says:

Little off topic but it looks like USC is falling apart before the season even starts. Senior running back Brown quit calling the coach a racist. Wow!

  • James says:

Watching the South Carolina vs aTm game thinking if this was a big 12 game the announcers would be ragging the defense BUT it’s the almighty SEC so it must just be great offense. Go ahead and add me to can’t stand espn fan club!

    • paganpink says:

I still like to reflect on how mediocre Big 12 teams moved to the SEC and instantly had success against those slow, plodding, defensive lines! South Carolina looks as confused as Alabama did when we ran all over them. And Steve Spurrier is twitching, and slapping his visor over and over like he’s swatting flies! The guy’s a trip!

    • boomersooner says:

And they’re all talking about how a&m is shocking so car….or are they just overrated like every other year. I just don’t understand why ratings and agendas have to ruin sports. Just sort it out on the field
