FOOTBALL

I can’t guarantee it will be worth it considering how little content they actually allow us lowly fans to have, but if you want to bookmark OU’s ‘Camp Central’ hub you can do so here. And who knows, maybe this year will be different.

Inside Day Zero With Dom Alexander (SSTV)

Last night, at least in my TL, Michael Hunnicutt was a bigger deal than Sharknado 2

It’s real.

This way too early bowl projection has OU losing to Florida State in one of the CFB playoff semifinal games. (NFL)

If you care, it was apparently just discovered that Jameis Winston was stopped by police at gunpoint back in 2012. (USA Today)

Maybe it’s just me, but Mizzou kids seems like is catching a raw deal from the NCAA. I know, shocker, right? (Yahoo)

Notre Dame’s field turf is in. Having been there somewhat recently, looks weird.

Go to the 1:20 mark and tell me if you’ve ever seen this coaching technique before.

Never sure how they come up with this stuff, but am almost always impressed. Would like to know how many takes they have to do.

Brutal beat.

DGB in uniform will look glorious! The A&M kid that went to UH got cleared yesterday. That along with what “insiders” are hearing – im starting to think it will be a question of when not if DGB gets to play this year

    • Cole says:

      I think it’ll be by week 5 or 6.

      • disqus_MGlT3IoZ53 says:

Typically NCAA rulings don’t take very long – it is the subsequent appeals that take forever (ie Saunders) I think we will hear about DGB around beginning of the season. We are still waiting on one document from Mizzou but they are fully cooperating

        • Alex Hill says:

Thank God He didn’t transfer from Tech. We wouldn’t be seeing ONE document coming out of Lubbock.

          • SoonerKevin says:

Florida State, over OU, in semifinals. Only if their OLine is great, because Winston is less mobile than McCarron. Winston runs like he is in his 60’s. I don’t know if he was injured or not, but his wheels are not great. Our defense will again make FSU miserable.

      • SoonerKevin says:

Do all players have a asterisk*next to their number?

  • Sooner Ray says:

Hunnicut needs to scroll down, has to be a fake FG in there somewhere.

Saw that poker beat 2 days ago. That was tough to watch. It’s a bad beat in any situation, but in the WSOP? Smh. Brutal.

Baseball video is pretty cool. Wish I had the time and money to go play in the desert like that.

I lost hundreds of dollars in Vegas once slow playing four jacks in five card stud. I was beaten by four kings. You have got to be kidding me, I thought and walked away from the table. It was rough but nothing like a million dollar buy in game!

  • Sooner Ray says:

On the “inside day zero clip”, anyone know who the guy is wearing the off white jacket and slacks? A compliance guy or attorney maybe?

  • boomersooner says:

Jordan, I’ve noticed you like baseball(or just like internet baseball stuff). But check out Domingo Ayala on YouTube. One of the funniest skits I’ve seen. He’s got a ton of stuff

    • Alex Hill says:

you trow it inside? I hit a bomb… pop dee chain and walk so everyone knows it was YOU that hit that bomb… Domingo’s the man! The guy who does those is an assistant coach at a College in California.

  • Pokerman says:

    Re: the NCAA and Missouri.
Paragraph 4 of the article lists the substances banned by the NCAA. Among the list is ………..alcohol. Guess we’ll have the just cancel the entire college football season.

    • ME says:

What’s going on up there? Are they about to be big time?

From the article: Copelin was also suspended with Green-Beckham for a game in 2013. The two missed the Vanderbilt game after they were arrested for suspicion of marijuana possession in a Missouri athletic department parking lot. With a guilty plea, the charges were reduced to trespassing.

According to the Columbia Tribune, Copelin also has a court date on August 6 regarding a disturbing the peace charge from an incident on campus in January. Copelin was arrested after he allegedly made threatening comments at the school’s student ID center.

Great ND has a new field. Now for the video boards. Seriously though, that school generates soooooo much cash, and puts pretty much nothing back into their stadium. Reminds me of The University of Washington’s stadium(which I see as the most scenic venue in all of college football). Neither school ever puts much cash back into their stadiums.

    • Jed says:

It may well be the most scenic, but U of Hawaii plays in an awfully nice venue as well.

      • blaster1371 says:

The island yes, downtown Honalulu, no so nice.

        • Jed says:

I was just talking about the view from the stadium. Frankly, on Oahu, Kaneohe or Haleiwa would be my picks. The city is okay, but it’s like the Vegas strip, a little goes a long way.

            Those two sites are incredible.

          • Jed says:

That was the master plan for me. One of the two. Somehow, some life changes took place. Oy Vey!

          • blaster1371 says:

We (myself, wife and daughter) went January 2014. We did Oahu and the big island on the Kona side. I had saved for four years for the trip. Best vacation I ever had. People there are wonderful; I chatted with locals every chance I could. Now saving up to go again in two years. I want five days on Hawaii and five more on Maui. My first day there was the Sugar Bowl Game. I wear something OU almost all the time on vacation. Tourists and local were very ready to give me an “at a boy” when they noticed my hat or shirt…. Like I had something to do with the outcome. That of course went a long way towards me liking the place.

          • Jed says:

everyone’s different, but I love the east coast of Maui, the rainy side. Worth a drive to check it out at least. Also, do one of the bike rentals that lets you cruise from the top of the volcano to the beach. Much fun.

          • blaster1371 says:

Sounds good. Rainy side should be extremely green.

      • lovethemsooners says:

I guess Hawaii didn’t cross my mind, because not many big time college games are played there. Husky Stadium on the other hand has seen some huge games, and being able to peer out at the Puget Sound and all those boats that show up on game day is pretty sweet.

I know we had to have taken at least 10K up there back in the ’08 season. I remember sitting next to a Husky fan, and he told me, other than Nebraska we brought the largest crowd to their stadium for a non-conference opponent. Great blow out, great times.

        • Jed says:

Agree to all. I just got to go there because I grew up in Asia and got to see, maybe, one college game per year and it was typically Hawaii vs. whoever.
I will say this, though, the Hawaiians are crazy football fans. I’ve had taxi drivers there who knew the OU roster inside out.

  • Gary Robbins says:

For Jordan or in the know posters. Is OU the home team this year at the game with Texas? Does being designated the home team have any significance?

  • thedeez says:

Ha, I know the poker dealer that dealt that hand. She had been talking about it for awhile, but now there’s finally footage of it.

    • leatherneck1061 says:

Hey Jordan, it occurs to me I have not heard much of anything about Walker for some time. Is he even listed on the depth chart at this point?

      • Jordan Esco says:

OU has updated their depth chart since Dec. I’d suspect he’ll be a part of the DE rotation this year tho.

    • Jed says:

Remind me to invite him to come with the next time I go out for an alley fight.

  • Ash Jones says:

A little slap and tickle at Cowboys camp is not all that surprising.
