Couple days old, but always good to hear positive updates on our guy The Ryan Broyles. (DFP)

Games involving OU make up approximately half this list of the Top 10 games in the Big 12 this coming season. (Fox Sports)

Conning your bosses into paying your way to Italy, writing about it, and casually tossing in the occasional ‘OU’ to justify said paying of your way is a hell of a gig if you can get it. (NewsOK)

UT President has indeed been forced out. (Twitter)

Texas Tech sold out of season tickets for the first time ever. (Twitter)

Humility has never been the Aggies strong suit.

Crazy story about a mountain climber being found after 32 years in ice. (MSN)

I’ve held out this entire World Cup so far, but now you’re getting a soccer video.

Trying to decide which looks worse, this or Sharknado 2

Looks like Ridley Scott trying to recreate the magic of Gladiator, but I’d bet against that happening.

  • Super K says:

Tech loving them so Kingsbury. He did put together a young and charismatic staff. Coach Curtis looks he’s in good enough shape to be on the field now.

  • Eric Hoffpauir says:

Didn’t you put up a soccer related video yesterday?

    • Jordan Esco says:

True. But it was obviously in the same vein as today. I’ve done my best not to subject those here who don’t care to any real World Cup coverage/discussion.

  • Indy_sooner says:

Hoping for a healthy season for Ryan.. The last years have been rough, knowing how potency he brings to the middle. Hope this one works out

    • EasTex says:

It still sickens me when I remember him on the sideline in the TAMU game when he hurt his knee.
He will always be one of my most favorite and memorable Sooners.

  • Bob Browning says:

I love your “soccer video” above. It was much more fun watching that than a kicky ball match.

  • Cory Reedy says:

    LOVE that RB video!

  • Sooner Ray says:

Dang I hope Ryan can have a huge season without injury.

  • Jim says:

LMAO at that soccer video. So true. So great.

  • EasTex says:

Taco Tech…Fearless Champions? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
For the first time ever they sold out season tickets…for a 60,000 seat stadium.
Alrighty, then. This calls for House of Pain.

Is that a helicopter pad on top of the TAMU scoreboard?

    • lovethemsooners says:

One of the best atmospheres I’ve ever attended at a game in Norman. Great night.

“It’s a stompin’ in Norman folks, an old fashioned stompin’!”

      • EasTex says:

Wish I could have been there, as it was I’m surprised my neighbors didn’t call the PD for a noise complaint.

Armed with 60,000-plus rabid fans, Dave Curtis of The Sporting News
proclaimed in May of 2010 that Jones AT&T Stadium was the best home
field advantage in all of college football.

I don’t know who Dave Curtis is, but he should get out more often.

        • kt-raida says:

          Lol^^^

        • J J says:

          Talk about WTF…

I guess if you count throwing batteries, tortillas & general idiot-ness

          • EasTex says:

So that’s what they mean by an “electric” atmosphere.

          • J J says:

Most likely… Lubbock is easily the worst atmosphere ever in terms of actual games. I know they have upgraded the stadium some since my last trip out there, but it’s seriously a joke. It’s a good thing for beer… That’s all I got

          • SoonerGoneEast says:

            And for Trichomoniasis.

          • J J says:

            Dude you know it’s TRUE….

          • SoonerGoneEast says:

Did I ever tell you of the time I spent Christmas in Lubbock visiting my girlfriend? http://youtu.be/9POPPTmsDBY

          • J J says:

You shouldn’t ever utter those words! I’ll take the bait, but don’t say it loud… PS: I just found my camera since going south bend. Lol. The last few pics are killing me. Not losing my rental car, but not far from it… Man that was fun. Even if it was a phone battery sucking campus

          • SoonerGoneEast says:

I probably got all of about ten pictures that day and they were from my brothers phone. Very weird. Never seen a battery die so fast.

We made our minds up to start tailgating again this year. You gotta cone by.

          • J J says:

I will come by! Count on it! I made hotel reservations for Tennesee already. Hoping to have a good long fun injury free weekend 🙂
I did take a picture of the scoreboards at every score & final if u want ill email them….
Did I tell you we had to walk from the other side if campus (were the bars are) back all the way across ND to that dumb parking lot. I swear it took an hour. Last car in the lot! Lol!

          • SoonerGoneEast says:

Send those to me for sure.

I will be at all the games and will make the playoffs too.

Two things: Are you going to Neyland next year? Are you going to Morgantown this year?

          • J J says:

Neyland for sure. I would like wvu, but that trip is big pain in the ass. When is it?

          • SoonerGoneEast says:

They changed the date a few months back, but I think it’s the third Saturday in September, maybe. If I had to fly I wouldn’t go, that’s just too much work. However, I think I could leave the office and drive there in ten hours. That might be worth it.

          • J J says:

Sent pictures. Yes if I could drive it I would. But that would be like 8 more fr here I think. I sure am not flying. Lord getting to Tally was bad enough!

          • SoonerGoneEast says:

Got the pics, thanks. Of the few pics I did end up with I do have TD Jesus, 1st down Moses and
The Basilica, but not much else.

We drove to Tally for the same reason. Well, that and so we could golf along the way.

          • J J says:

Can you send me the basilica? Mine were too dark…

          • SoonerGoneEast says:

            Absolutely.

          • J J says:

Thanks. When we went it was like 2 am. Lol

          • SoonerGoneEast says:

Fixing to message a ridiculous story to you.

          • J J says:

Oh my god! I can’t make it stop! Yes, Lubbock

          • SoonerGoneEast says:

            True story, LOL!

          • J J says:

Omg. If I could figure out how to link it I would. I am not skilled

        • Kevin Fielder says:

          Ring that bell!!!

  • BigJoeBrown says:

What? Expendables 3 is going to rock!

    The soccer video is hilarious!

  • Jim says:

That RB tribute video is one of many reasons I hope I live a long time. I would love to see a great number more of highly-successful OU running backs. Because of my childhood activities, I did not really get into college football until I got to OU in 1997. Even since then, however, I have already seen a handful of great backs. Here’s to living long enough that I get to see at least a dozen more!

    • EasTex says:

You are in for years of fun.
I started following the Sooners in the mid 50’s and there has always been a great RB in all that time. The video couldn’t possibly include them all unless it was an hour long.

  • Fear The Magic says:

I heard from a very reliable source that 70% of the TTs season ticket purchasers were snatched up by Kingsburys ex girlfriends and the mothers of recruits.

  • TheFuerte says:

    On the Aggies:
I grew up thinking I’d go to a&m. My grandfather was a walk on lineman at a&m and in the corp, my father ran track there, and my wife was a starting pitcher on the softball team. In all my years, I had come to envision Aggies as an extremely loyal fanbase with humility, honor, and integrity. I’ve thrown those notions out with the garbage.

My dad was glad to see Manziel and Evans move on. Couldn’t stand to watch the on field antics. If you listen closely, you can hear my grandfather turn over in his grave with every cash money sign manziel flashes.

The university doesn’t know how to handle this new found attention. It is like watching a less successful version of the 80’s Miami teams. Can’t wait to play them again. 84-0 next time.

    • EasTex says:

I went there for Grad school and enjoyed those two years. Always had respect for the institution and its honor code.
The way their QB was embraced and that the honor code was not valid when it came to him, I have lost almost all respect for TAMU. I say almost, because as you pointed out not every TAMU grad approves/approved of Miley Football.

    • J J says:

The hubs family has significant Aggy ties, suffice it to say old money/tradition backers of A&M are appalled, those still living that is. My peers who are A&M grads are flat out impossible to deal with

  • DCinAZ says:

I really hate ATM. I wish them nothing but fear and pestilence.

    • SoonerGoneEast says:

Aggy is my least favorite team in the entire world, any sport, and it’s not even close. Aggy fan is my least favorite fan base in the whole entire world too. I also strongly dislike all aggy traditions, especially Reveille, Muster and Gig ’em.

      • J J says:

Aggy. Oh Aggy. The upgrades & such is literally so Aggy… They weren’t even breaking even the years in the big 12…

        • SoonerGoneEast says:

A couple of months ago, Beergut wrote an article (I know, I know, but I just can’t help it) advising the mid-majors to stay out of the CFB arms race. In typical Beergut/aggy fashion, it was equal parts self-indulgent, misinformed and delusional.

At one point he even went so far as to suggest it would be unethical because the mid-majors with their limited resources would likely have little choice but to pass some of the expense onto the students. Um…, I guess he didn’t get the memo that aggy is charging all students additional fees for the upgrades, regardless of whether they ever go to a game or not.

          • J J says:

Oh Aggy. Oh beergut… Seriously douchenozzle, the A&M athletic dept had to take out a loan a few years ago… They were way past just being “in the red”

          • SoonerGoneEast says:

I remember something about that. It was somewhere in the $15 million range or maybe more. They had tried to keep it quite but it came out during a review or audit or something. Stupid aggy.

          • J J says:

Yep. Stupid Aggy. And their stupid stadium. And their inferiority complex…

          • SoonerGoneEast says:

It’s all about UT. Always has been always will be. Poor aggy.

  • Chris White says:

aTm has to do something to sell out all those extra seats. It’s a shame that the Manziel hype is going to end in a lot of debt and mediocrity for that football team

  • SoonerinLondon says:

I noted, in the Running Back U video, that none of the tacklers who didn’t have facemasks led with their head…hmmm.
