FOOTBALL

ICYMI, a third straight 11am kickoff & the fourth of this season.

Will be interesting to see where this number eventually settles come Saturday.

G.K. got straight paid over the weekend. And well deserved, IMO.

This created a bit of a tizzy amongst OU fans Saturday night.

This was unfortunate. Chris Fowler was one of the very few people at ESPN who I actually had some respect for. But no longer. This rings pathetically hollow and IMO sounded like a guy who was just shilling for those who sign his paychecks. (Awful Announcing)

Have you seen the video of this Ole Miss chick freaking out after their loss on Saturday? Proud moment immortalized forever on the Internet thanks to her boyfriend, a LSU fan. I’m just guessing dude won’t be getting in for quite some time. (The Big Lead)

A proud moment in fat guy achievements.

OTHER

It’s hard to describe how big a deal this was. HUGE upset. Very cool, happy I got a chance to watch it (on TV).

Good stuff.

J-Law & B-Coop back together again.

Jim Carey was excellent on SNL this week.. & each off those Lincoln commercials got progressively better..

That Ole Miss fan shouldn’t be crying over spilled milk. 🙂 Hey, we’ve got a game this week!

FWIW I think Texas has a very good chance of beating Texas Tech

  • boomersooner says:

the booger part in the commercials was priceless

  • Stephen Dale says:

Pagan…………I, too believe Texas will beat TT and I like ISU with the points against OU. In fact, it wouldn’t surprise me if ISU didn’t win the game straight up. If the game comes down to poor execution of a game plan, poor coaching decisions, ‘bone-headed’ player mistakes, turnovers, missed scoring opportunities, then ISU stands a very good chance of winning. ISU can turn around a dismal season with a victory over OU and probably save Paul Rhoads job. OU has lost every preseason team goal and has nothing except pride to play for..One team has an incentive to win ; one doesn’t.

Well aren’t you just a ray of sunshine.

Seriously… this doom and gloom thing on this site is getting out of hand. We are a good team that lost to two other good teams (possible great teams) on days when we played poorly. We will be fine, maybe lose to Baylor (another good team) or maybe win out. The sky is not falling, well maybe it is in Stoolwater, but not in Norman.
Its 8:40 AM and Texas still sucks.

      • boomersooner says:

Yes. It seems all the tired acts from land thieves oozed over here to spread holiday cheer. And then they act like positive thinkers have something wrong with em. I hope it stops pronto

    • Jed says:

Hey Stephen, Have you checked out the record keeping? I have it on good authority that actually OU is lying and hasn’t ever won a game. Ever. It’s all just braggadocio. I’m sure you can uncover the truth if you go digging. Have at it.

I think OU will win by more then two touchdowns against Iowa State. ISU has been overachieving lately but OU is a far better team in every way.

    • D Hunter Sanchez says:

OU baby…we beat ourselves as Saban always claims. Everyone knows OU has more talent than any other Big 12 team. But you are right, it’s about execution.

  • OUknowitscomin says:

In other news, Iowa is getting our 1st bone chilling cold of year coming in late week.
As of moment, appears kickoff time should be around 42 degrees.

Below normal, even for Iowa. At least not cold like that OSU game last year. Will be sunny though & up to 50 mid game. Pretty good football weather overall, but some Cali FR are going to be what froze over.

  • D Hunter Sanchez says:

Fowler is foul. Without Brent, the game seems small on Saturday nights.

    • boomersooner says:

I miss Keith Jackson. That guy could call a game. Used to love when he’d introduce our Keith Jackson with “whoa Nellie let me tell ya bout Keith Jackson.” Still gives me goose bumps

  • CS says:

we are going to take it out pretty bad on IowaSt and watch out the rest of the teams in our schedule. Ford, Dimon, Walker back – it is going to get ugly (82-27 type ugly)!! Can’t wait!

  • soonermusic says:

Espn definitely appears to be circling the wagons on this one. They need to get their story straight about whether the SEC is just a bit better than everyone else, or better “by far.”
It’s amazing that they would have a business relationship and not think folks would be suspicious of over the top reporting.

    • boomersooner says:

Yeah Fowler is in essence saying “how dare you question my bosses and their integrity ( or lack thereof).” Well if it smells like turds, somebody probly pooped. When you’re in bed with someone you’re probly gonna talk em up unless they just aren’t any good. I think we all get the business aspect of it, but what they don’t really seem to be getting is the fact that it muddies the water when you’re ” the worldwide leader in sports” and all you talk about is the sec. Fox has a big stake in the big ten with the big 10 network but they seem to talk about the PAC 12 and Big 12 and the sec more and don’t just shove one thing down your throat over and over. I’m sure fox has agendas but they seem to just love talking about good football as well as the games they’re covering

Texsa will be my lock of week with that point spread!! I bet Texsa will win straight up!!
