Also Texas WR John Harris, who could have applied for 6th year, will exit as well after 1,000-yard receiving year.

BASKETBALL
Sooners easily handled an over-matched ORU squad last night. (Sooner Sports)
Watched Oklahoma closely tonight. Most talent under Lon Kruger. Crazy thing is they aren't even close to reaching potential yet.

Boom goes the dynamite.
I want one.
Random.
Parkour bank robbers? Did this movie really need to get made? If you’re going to flush tens of millions of dollars down the toilet, my money clip has some space available.
Strong.

If OU has one of the best media schools….why does the news suck so bad in Oklahoma?
only those with either ‘homeristic tendencies’ or those with serious ‘hypocritic’ traits generate enough interest to sell papers. The ‘homers’ appeal to those with ‘rose-colored ‘ glasses and they hypocrites appeal to those who like to read about the dirt at another university not their own………..those who appeal to neither market segment move on to wider journalistic ventures and later become Pulitizer Prize , Nobel Prize, etc winners ……
thanks gardnsheels……
OUt.
I’ve wondered if they were one and the same!
I don’t recall any journalist ever winning a Nobel Prize.
Must be why Finebaum is so popular. He appeals to both the “homeristic tendencies” and the “hypocritic” traits. Over-hyping the SEC while bashing other conferences.
You sir, are the true honey badger… you really don’t give a $ h! T…people hack at you everyday, but you just keep coming back. It would almost be admirable, if it wasn’t so damned annoying.
Good question, but OU has produced tons of great media-types–as many as the next school. And I hear that in recent years the university has begun instructing students to phrase press conference questions in the form of an actual question.
As having majored in journalism at Kent State University, also nationally recognized, those ranking are usually determined by what the school is teaching. It measures the how well the students cover stories, as well as their preparation and development. These students usually rise to the top quickly.
The TV news is completely run by the students. All of the anchors, directors, camera operators, and switch board is handled by the students for the entire air time. There is no assistance from the professors, at least there was none at Kent.
Some other schools are Missouri, North Western, Syracuse, Georgia, and Oklahoma, to name a few.
If they focused on who-what-when-where and how I would give them all A+’s.
Agreed.
As well as follow the money trail and get at least three sources for every article written, and five sources that involve conflicts, interview both sides.
Simple stuff, right? LOL!!
Lady in the picture above ? Looks like her implants escaped………….
Funny thing about the freshman list is that ‘maje is 4 star leading a pack of 5 stars. Gundy doing work on those evals..
Thomas was looking like a good fit for this basketball team.
Lattin is going to be a stud!!
Hopefully the Perine narrative will grow past the mentioning of Mixon.
Rankin…..any thoughts on our chances?
I’ll probably be wrong, but unfortunately I think he’s staying down south…Miss St.
You called it.
not happy about it 😉
Me either!
That “Knight of Cups” is simply an amazing movie trailer! What a beautiful montage of scenes. Beautifully filmed. Hope the movie is half as good.
Jamal Danley has officially signed w/ OU

Welcome aboard, young man!
Pulling a player out of Mississippi is no small feat. Welcome to the Sooner Nation, Jamal. Hope your friend decided to make the jOUrney as well.
Danley signs with us, Samaje is #1 on a Freshman Top 10 list, and we’re heading into the final stretch. Great day so far. Have faith.
Wouldn’t it be great of Mike and Josh were only one decision? The thought of that takes you to the place where dreams are born. (And for those that take these harmless images as an affront to the storied football program at OU, don’t worry, this is the only image of the day)
Dude, seriously, stop. Do you want me to never be able to sleep again???
Jordan, I tried to delete this image but didn’t see how I could get it done. Feel free and sleep well.
Bball team made a statement last night. They will capitalize on nearly every mistake a team makes. This will be HUGE in B12 play (as will the Spangler-Thomas combo).
Wouldn’t Oakman interviewing agents make him ineligible? Or must he sign with one?
those cheap shots ought to get him ejected but they don’t
Does Bowlsby have multiple-personality disorder?
Is the SEC/ESPN media conglomerate bribing him to screw up?
Time to address Co-Champions? One true champion? Except when Bowlsby forwards Co-Champions to the playoff committee? After a tie breaker is already on the books?
What am I missing?
Are the Big XII executives the stupidest oafs on the face of the planet? Maybe in the solar system?
How many times can the Big XII shoot itself in the foot?
We don’t have DeLoss Dodds to blame anymore – I thought with him retired the conference could get its stuff together.
The Big XII is far more of a Charlie Foxtrot than anybody thought.
And we’re stuck with it.
The realignment opportunities have passed us by.
