Pretty substantial development with respect to OU winning this bowl game.

Aaron Colvin has played three games … and he may already be the #Jaguars best defensive back.

OU AD Joe Castiglione & Cincy AD Mike Bohn chatting at Waldorf in NY. I joined them & – sorry – no discussions about expansion

There are some conflicting reports on whether or not this is actually happening, but hopefully it does if for no other reason to ensure Bob doesn’t bring him back to Norman.

Oh how the once mighty have fallen
Was told tonight #Michigan officials offered David Cutcliffe their job but the #Duke coach turned it down. Times sure have changed.

McMurphy injects himself into a conversation between ADs and he expects them to admit they were talking about expansion?
I was thinking the same thing….ha!
Yeah, keep it real.
If I were Castiglione I would have said something to the Cincinnati AD when McMurphy walked up like “and if we add you guys, we will be at sixteen.” Be fun to watch the Internet crash with all the discussion.
Thought the same thing, dude thinks waaaay too highly of himself
With the Clemson news, our defense has it a little easier. The offense still has an uphill battle and their fans don’t seem to think we will pose much of a threat.
Nah, we will just create a QB controversy at Clemson next year because the backup will look All World against Mike’s Defense.
Sad but true. WVU, Tx, Baylor TCU, OSU, KSU … heck even fkn TTU looked all worldly against us. It seems everyone and their mom has a better QB than us.
cole stoudt is a senior.
Great….we’ll send him out on top!!
The Sooners need to just hire a safeties coach and let mike focus just DC and have heupel step down to qb coach and hire either a new OC or bump up Norvell.
I’d rather see Cale get his shot at OC than bumping up Norvell.
I think he has already been offered the spot before. He’s been there too long. Probably doesn’t want it.
Not Norvell, please. In fact I think he’s on of those that needs to go.
Norvell has already been a OC at both Nebraska and UCLA. Did not particularly set the world on fire there. If he really wanted to be an OC he would have gotten the position at OU when Heupel was promoted or left when he was passed over.
They are CO-OCs. I am not sure why JH gets slack and Norvell doesn’t. They are both responsible for fielding a competent gameplan and offense. You cannot terminate one without the other, IMO
Don’t understand why people think bo pelini would want to be back in norman.
When he bolted to lsu he said he wanted to coach a real defense. I doubt bob would even want him back after that comment.
Exactly. Things didn’t go so well his first time in Norman. Can’t imagine it would be a good fit this time around, either.
do not want him back in Norman, no sir
So the fact that DeBerry put an extra hashtag in front of OU is a good sign, right? Right?!?
McKee tweet, is that significant? Is that good news? We are in some serious need of LB help.
Just curious for the sake of being realistic here, when was the last time you saw a coach take a demotion to stay at the same school? I can’t think of one. Maybe you can. Until we come up with some good examples, I think suggesting that Heupel should take a demotion from OC to QB Coach needs to stop. It’s not realistic. Yeah in a perfect world that sounds great but it’s not realistic, it doesn’t happen. He’s either staying as the OC or moving on to another school. He may move to another school and be the QB Coach but he wouldn’t at OU. Just doesn’t happen that way.
Doesn’t happen much in football or any aspect of life. Only works when the guy wants to take a step down and that is rare. I wouldn’t want to take over from a guy who had been forced to take a step down. If he was worth keeping, he will have too many people loyal to him in the organization. You would be stepping into a situation where there was a built in faction opposed to you. The only way that could work if he was put in a total different part of the organization.
Yo Kish….do you even recruit?
You know that King of the Hill episode where Hank Hill deals the deal for the client by ordering a slice of pie and if it’s really urgent getting it a la mode….that’s how I envision a certain recruiting technique.
That’s when the guy from NY comes down and calls Hank “J.R.”
Does the girl in the Crossfit video still have any eligibility left? she looks like a promising LB prospect.
Why would OU bring in a crappy team like Cincinnati, hell the Big 12 already added a crappy team in West Virginia!
