FOOTBALL

G.K. keepin’ it real. (And I cannot apologize profusely enough for polluting your ears, eyes & mind with even a brief dose of Skip Bayless.)

Greatness.

BASKETBALL

Interesting story on OU women’s b-ball commit turning tragedy into opportunity. (ESPNW)

Sooners 2015 signee, Rashard Odomes. Filthy.

Oh my.

Sick, indeed.

OTHER

Ouchtown, population you, bro.

Painful.

Not sure what to think here.

Mccoy’s not wrong. Teams would never be confident while coming to play in Norman. Not so much, these days.

    • SoonerfanTU says:

True, but these things swing back and forth. Lets not forget, OU has went to Bama and FSU in the last decade or so, and come out with wins. Neither place seemed particularly “difficult” to play at the time. Then both schools got better, and the home field became tough again. When OU takes that step forward, which I expect to happen soon, I think Owen Field will again be a tough place to win.

OU crowd seems to sit on their hands a lot. Game times have been all scrambled the last several, seasons too.

        • SCKSChief says:

Waiting for the other shoe to drop. There is no confidence at OU anymore. Fans are never sure if OU is gonna roll someone or get rolled…sad state of affairs at home.

        • ND52 says:

To be fair, OU fans have never been that energetic.

IMHO stoops has next year to change the culture around this program and I’m not just talking about on the field…Then the year after the Urban meyer game his program needs to show some mettle and passion from the players and they need not get b eat in an embarrassing fashion or Stoops needs to move on. I can assure you they’ll be more folks than me who will be calling for his firing if he loses badly to Ohio St. I know of Some alums(does not matter whom) who don’t feel as welcomed around the program GK even said that alums are not happy but he did no go in detail because I’m sure he did not want to pile on the coach who coached him and he still has appreciation for..Luckily I’m detached from the situation and I can speak my mind….

    • BloodRed says:

Stoops came in with a top team of nfl draft picks playing a team coached
by shula, the (younger one) in his first year I may add and without a fake punt late in the game
likely would have chocked the game away….Stop making excuses he has
really not beaten a top ranked team that finished as a top ranked team besides texas???lol.

I like GK almost as much as I dislike Bayless – and that’s a lot.

  • Lincoln Hawk says:

That NFL lip reading video had me crying….funny stuff

  • hOUligan says:

Well that sucks. You have to register with eSpin in order to vote in the Infinity Coaches Challenge.

  • Eric Hoffpauir says:

Has anyone considered that Norvell to Texas might be a Luca Brasi type situation?

  • Sooner Ray says:

Lip reading=good, GTA=good, McCoy, how can you argue that.

  • BR says:

Thanks Jordan for the bad lip reads….i love these

    • SoonerfanTU says:

I thought OU might be able to sneak in and steal Murray, but I’m pretty convinced he is going to aTm at this point.

      • thebigdroot says:

He looks tiny in that pic. If he wants to go to aTm that’s fine, some folks don’t mind being mediocre.

        • SoonerfanTU says:

I’m not 100% convinced he has it in him to be a very good or great QB at a school like OU or aTm either. Maybe. I see the potential. But given his size, he has no room for error.

          • OUhomer4life says:

Very few small quarterbacks make it in college, I think he is on the short side, unless he is the next Brees

          • Stephen Dale says:

Doug Flutie was all of 5’9″ and had a fabled career at Boston College….his stature was a problem in the NFL however. Generally I agree with you homer4life………

          • Jed says:

Ah, yes, the Flutster. I recall well having Boston sports fans jaw on endlessly about how OU was afraid to play BC and how Flutie would throw for 500 yards on us. (I lived up there at the time).
He was a good QB, but, let’s be frank, he played against competition that was mostly second and third rate.
I think our offense is going to demand that the QB get the ball out quickly…and that is going to make life hard for a short QB to see down field.

  • Paul Lott says:

    I love Gerald mccoy…what a great guy…unter views well…..boomer

  • Bryan Burch says:

    Well played..

  • ruasoonerfan2 says:

Did anyone see film on Aaron Sims, i think he is a preferred walk on at OU. Friend of Westbrooke, kid is super small but can fly. Looks faster than the 4.35, but only 5’5″ and 135 lbs. 10.46 100 meter, I mean this kid can skoot.

    • Sam Sherwood says:

Except for the Sugar Bowl, IMO Heupel never did figure out how to use Roy Finch effectively… he ran him up the middle too often instead of getting him the ball in space. on screens, bubble screens, wheel routes, etc.
I hope Riley is smarter and knows how to pop the cork when he’s got lightning in a bottle.

    • Soonerfandave84 says:

He is Dede Westbrook’s little brother(i stress the little)

    • D Hunter Sanchez says:

Smaller than Finch? But way faster.

    • Stephen Dale says:

watched his state HS final and he caught 4 TD passes….seems to be resilient however..it will be interesting watching how L Riley incorporates Sims into the rotation…just not sure whether he projects better at WR or Slot receiver. either way, blocking will be an issue for him.

  • Paul Lott says:

    Interviews…sorry
