Any word if Sheffield, Marshall, Jefferson and Gibson taking officials and when to OU?

  • vargo05 says:

Cameron Townsend is a name that’s been out there a long time for visiting this weekend. Any chance of getting in contact with him?

    • Gary Robbins says:

Read on 247 Sports that Townsend and Joshua McMillion of Memphis, Tn. are due in for official visits. Seemed like Townsend is a heavy Texas lean and McMillion is a Alabama commit, but who knows anymore.

  • Ed Cotter says:

Wow, kind of light, but thanks for posting. Figure guys would try to make it in now as opposed to Baylor or OSU as their teams may be in the playoffs. Well, the guys that do make it in for KSU will get some serious quality time with so few guys possibly making it in.

  • EasTex says:

The 11a.m. kick off might make this game unattractive for an official as most of the young men will have played on Friday night.

    • Sooner Ray says:

Most Oklahoma teams play Thur. night because it’s fall break, not sure about other states.

      • EasTex says:

Didn’t know that. In Texas it is very unusual to play on a Thursday, that’s usually when the junior high and junior varsity play.

  • Zack says:

So how long before hogan commits?

  • Indy_sooner says:

so disappointed at LB status… Hard to be optimistic any more.. Cameron would go a long way to quell the heat. C’mon Kish!

    • Clint Lenard says:

I have never understood why people question Kish 4 months before signing day. He’s got a few big recruits still thinking and talking about OU, and I’m sure he’s got quite a few backups as well. Even if those kids committed, then what? Hope they don’t change their mind before signing day? You also risk losing the bigger recruits if these other kids commit early. I’m okay with how Kish has done.

      • Indy_sooner says:

Simple, its a position of (serious) need and we are consistently missing out on our top targets. That is worrisome even 4 months out. That’s 0 linebackers when we need 4/5. Do not get me wrong, his development process for LBs is unquestionable, but at some point, he has to be accountable for getting the talent in

        • Clint Lenard says:

Where has he failed to bring in talent? The last 2 seasons he’s brought in guys who seem to be working well. Right now he has a handful of the best LB’s in the country talking about OU.

          • Indy_sooner says:

I will hold off the bashing until after NSD but like I said, I am not optimistic and I would love to be wrong. I did miss the 4 kids we are still on the board for.

          • Zack says:

And he’s trying to redshirt 2 guys he really likes in Tay Evans and Bolton since he had burn jordan Evans and dom’s redshirts. I think this class could be really good for kish with the amount of big time linebackers considering ou. And he may have 2 new linebackers next year from position changes. Byrd and Thomas are being recruited over and need to perform or they may be better off at linebacker.

    • Malicong says:

We are still, by all accounts, the front runners for Wheeler and McKee and at the top for DeBerry and McGinnis. I can understand the feeling since there are no commits at this point, but this LB class may turn out quite well.

  • Indy_sooner says:

Add Darrion Daniels to this list, btw

  • KOKEVO says:

Starting to like this list. You guys do a amazing job we appreciate it.

  • Jordan Esco says:

Not just a football weekend, btw. Lon Kruger also expect several recruits on campus this weekend.

    2016 G JJ Caldwell
    2017 G Chris Giles
    2017 G Trae Young
    2016 F Terrance Ferguson
    2015 F Christian James

  • Brian says:

247 Sports is showing that ILB and Bama commit Joshua McMillon will be on an official visit to OU tomorrow!

  • hushnpa says:

I’ll give everyone complaining about ” losing ” ” top targets ” three reasons to quit complaining
    1) Jordan Evans , 2) Dominic Alexander and 3) Frank Shannon – two stars , two stars , three stars , or Less
till we offered them ! 🙂

  • Jeremy Phillips says:

read on LT that Kyler Murray is coming for an official tomorrow??? I mean, we don’t have a real shot do we???

  • Lesslie Stanford says:

Will Sunderland tweeted he would be here.

  • Jeremy Phillips says:

Murray, just tweeted he’s in Norman this weekend.. So it’s official…

  • Jordan Esco says:

A&M QB commit in Norman on an official visit

    • Zack says:

Not sure if we could even flip him but if so that would be huge. I’m pretty sure newsome would be on board with that and maybe lodge.

      • vargo05 says:

Those two would be nice to have, but the real ultimate price that would be likely to come along with him, and the Evans boys being here, is 2016 OT Greg Little, who is one of the top overall players in the country for next year.

  • Hotrod33 says:

With Murray now being at the last two games. Is there serious interest now and do you think he decommits or flips?
