League Coaches Hand Out Their All-Big 12 Selections

Earlier in the week the Associated Press released their All-Big 12 selections, and on Wednesday afternoon the league’s coaches did the same. And maybe somewhat surprisingly for some, the Sooners tied with Kansas State for the most players selected as All-Big 12 first-team.

Those OU players were: Samaje Perine, Sterling Shepard, Daryl Williams, Tyrus Thompson, Eric Striker & Zack Sanchez.

Oklahoma also had six players selected on the second team; Aaron Ripkowski, Adam Shead, Chuka Ndulue & Jordan Phillips.

Perine was also (unsurprisingly) named the league’s Offensive Freshman of the Year.

You can see the full list of awards/selections here.

Bedbaugh has the oline playing like a championship unit. And he is out working his tail off recruiting kids for next year and beyond. Coach B getting it done. Kudos to Williams, Thompson and Shead. Kasatati and Savage weren’t far off the pace either.

Agree Bedenbaugh was a solid hire….. He has some big road graders sitting back waiting for a chance too…… Hope he finishes this class strong too

Couple of national stats on Perine that have to get you excited:
    Rushing Yards – 8th
    Touchdowns – Tied for 5th

We have this many people on first and second team and don’t even compete for the conference title. Proves we have talent and that it wasn’t used the correct way
