Oklahoma Makes a New 2015 CB Offer

I was a little surprised to see that Oklahoma didn’t extend an offer to any visiting CBs this past weekend. But they extended one today. 2015 CB PJ Mbanasor of Hendrickson HS out of Pflugerville Texas picked up an Oklahoma offer.

We’ve been fans of PJ’s for a while. He’s a huge kid that can cover. Here is PJ’s twitter handle if y’all want to follow him: https://twitter.com/PeterJayy_2

Here is some film for y’all to check out:

Keeping the road warm to Pflugerville!

I have a small connection with Hendrickson. My buddy is the RB coach there (yes, Samaje’s coach). I will see if I can get a read on PJ from him and let you all know!

And straight from my source…”PJ is a GREAT kid and a helluva athlete. 6’3″ 185 lbs and 2nd fastest guy on the team.

Great news. Has he compared Perine to any backs we have or have had in recent history?

        • Cory Reedy says:

He never compared Samaje to anyone…just that Samaje is a a terrific kid and Coach Gundy did an amazing job with him. He was always ours because of Coach Gundy. Alabama was Samaje’s favorite school growing up and they offered right after us, but the relationship with Gundy sealed the deal.

Thanks Cory! PJ is a massive corner indeed.

        Who is the fastest, Perine?:)

After seeing Mbanasor’s video I sure hope that Mike Stoops gets after Ykili Ross out of Riverside (CA) Poly. Kid is listed by almost all the sites as a DB, but he should be listed as an athlete, as he is an excellent receiver. He’s more like a RB playing WR. With Young in 2013 and Bolton for 2014 OU has been looking at guys in the Inland Empire of So. Cal and Ross is another good one. Video is below.

That kid will be able to go anywhere he want’s. I can see coaches on both sides of the ball fighting over him. For sure fits what we do offensively and shows some good cover skills as well. Wonder if our coaches even have an eye on him?

Man, I hope so…or at least someone associated with the program reads this and let’s them know to at least take a look at him. A March JR. Day invite could go a long way. He has said he would love to get noticed by schools in the BIG 12 and BIG 10, so he’s not tied down to the PAC, but UCLA and USC are both very interested. He has been to both schools on unofficials. Dad is very involved in his recruiting, but mom will have some pull as well.
