Geneo Grissom Sprains MCL

Image via ESPN.com

In the post game presser, coach Bob Stoops said that Geneo Grissom suffered a sprained MCL. It sounds like he could be out for at least 2 to 3 weeks and perhaps more depending on the degree of the sprain.

Fortunately for the Sooners, Devante Bond has filled in at the jack LB position nicely without very little drop-off.

Wishing Geneo a speedy recovery. We do anticipate we’ll get to see him at least one more time in the bowl game (if not sooner) before his career at Oklahoma ends.

Good luck to Geneo! Bond should be very capable replacing him as long as he can get off the field when he needs to and not cost the team a sack…. again.

Sucks for the big guy. Hope he can get back for the bowl game if not sooner.

I’m thinking he’s gonna show something in the league that will make us wonder why his potential wasn’t fully realized in the crimson & cream.

Lousy way to end his OU career. Hope he is able to be back for the bowl game and that he is able to show on Sundays. Thanks, Gris, for some great memories.
