The Spring game giveth once again as less than a week after the event, 2020 defensive back Ryan Watts has given his verbal pledge to Lincoln Riley and Alex Grinch and has announced his commitment to Oklahoma.
As Super K wrote back in March, the Little Elm, TX, product has long been trending for the Sooners and today he decided to make it official. Head Coach Lincoln Riley dropped the eyes signifying his commitment around 1:00 pm Friday.
The 6’2.5″ 190 lb Watts was one of Alex Grinch’s first offers upon arriving in Norman and the staff made Ryan a priority. They hosted him on multiple occasions and it appears as though the Spring Game weekend pushed him over the edge and he was ready to make his commitment.
Watts chose to commit to the Sooners over offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, and Alabama.
